Why don't more people copy Calzaghe's style?

Maybe its because they`re scared of being called a "slapper".

  3. :rofl .. near truth. Joe waited until about 34 to test himself.

Maybe Paulie could (or will) have a better beard when he's a man instead of whatever he is currently.

"My style is very hard to do, because I have many styles"

ot something along those lines was Joe's quote in the post fight interview after the RJJ fight.

The Hendrix analogy is spot on.....Calzaghe has a style that is impossible to teach and impossible to learn.

Joe is so unique, this is what makes him my favorite fighter. I don't think there will ever be another fighter like Joe Calzaghe.

Because calzaghe is a special fighter and has a special style that nobody can copy or try to copy.

I'm not about his whole style.

I'm on about slapping when he throws.

This would enable Malignaggi to throw his hands even faster and less fear that his right will break when he throws it.

if malinaggi try`d to throw slaps in the pocket like calzaghe does then he would be KTFO as calzaghe is good at ducking/rolling/or moving his feet out of the way when he has finished , whereas pauli`s head movement as i said before the hatton fight is pretty poor.

i understand what you mean, but pauli is way more othordox and is not a good inside fighter either.

Calzaghe has a lot in the locker. Yes he is unconventional, but he has a great chin, real ringcraft and adaptability - a true fighters brain, and he must be up there with the best 160+ fighters ever in terms of stamina. His only real weaknesses are lack of single punch KO power and the fact that his pride gets him drawn into slugging matches on occassions when if he stuck to his boxing he'd win on points easily. The Bika fight was a classic example of him being drawn into a messy fight where if he had kept his cool he would have won all 12 rounds easily

That slapping **** makes it hard to generate power... Not only that, in the amateurs you're scored for hitting with the top of the fist, so it probably feels unnatural for most fighters...

  13. He'll be missed.... I propose a day of mourning when D-Day finally comes...

ESB will not survive his retirement....

Calzaghe transcends boxing - and opinion like no fighter before him...

Lacy was never dangerous to a true boxer or anyone with good defense...He was percieved dangerous. Kessler is good Hopkins is not really dangerous either... Joe hasn't fought a fighter in which was a great fighter or potentially great. Only Kessler...

That's why I have called for the Dawson fight over a year...he will finally be in with a fighter who can match speed and skills...who even presents disadvantage in reach... I think that would say a lot about Joe if he can overcome some obvious obstacles...
