why don't they hold fights in pooer neutral countries like they used too?

    So tell me why pac hasnt fought in front of his countrymen?


    Anyways .....


    Fighters arent as big as yesteryear. i.e ali

    The governments have not got the money to put up for these fights and a re not confident they would see healthy returns on them, at least not enough to be sure of a decent return.

    Didnt know those places were poor and boxing comes to PR all the time but is always when a puertorrican is champion

    Foreman / Ali in Zaire
    Lewis / Rahman in South Africa
    Tyson / Douglas in Tokyo

    All big HW fights where the champion was favorite and lost - and the fact that the fights were in foreign countries contributed to various degrees.

    Everyone is looking for any small advantage - so why risk losing to someone just becuase they acclimatized themselves better than you?

    As far as I know, Rumble in the Jungle and Thrilla In Manila took place because they both had crooked leaders that were huge Ali fans and paid lots of corrupted money to bring the fights over to their homelands.
