Why don't we have height checks during the weigh in?

Why not get an actual accurate tale of the tape? We already weigh the fighters and take their reach.

 

Can't change your height (Although people do try to wear high heels like Wlad)

In theory we should do same day weigh ins and get rid of the stupid weight drains up to 25 pounds but it's part of the show.

Why we still have kids do weight drains in amateurs I don't know - although it's more about discipline for kids than actually cutting hard water weight

Don’t amateurs weigh in a few hours before the fight? They can’t cut more then a few lbs in that time frame.

 

Yeah, and if they’re too tall, give them an hour to get to the right height.

And besides, what would your life be if you didn't have Tyson Fury's true height to ponder?

 

Because heels weigh too much.

 

Should only take five minutes or so to shave their heads.

If things get really desperate, maybe exfoliating their feet might just make the vital difference? Not so much marginal gains as marginal losses...

 

Maybe there should be a height in. No more of this weight garbage. No more weight classes. Height classes.

Then we’d get to see real fights like Mike Tyson vs Chico Corrales at 5’10”, which is what everyone wanted.

 

Why not just accept the listed height and stop spending your time wondering if it's off by an inch or two

Or maybe that Rey Vargas- Oscar Rivas fight everybody has been hoping for in the 5’11”- 6’0” height class.
