Why Floyd is bad for boxing

I've read posts from some of these guys saying they won't watch any other Mayweather fight unless it's against Pacquiao. They're supposedly fans of boxing, but won't watch a top 2 guy at worst in the sport. They're not fans of the sport.

 

top 2 is subjective.

I personally don't think a guy is a top fighter when he doesn't take on the best.

 

Floyd is bad in the sense that he doesn't produce exciting fights, he overhypes fights, everything is PPV's which don't live up to expectations. He's a great marketer /promoter, but it ain't good for boxing when your fights don't produce.

He's good for boxing right now because he fills the bad guy role, but he hasn't been doing boxing any favors with all of crappy, overhyped PPV's.

 

You don't think Floyd is top 2? I bet you were one of the guys saying he was scared to fight Mosley. Come on, you're a joke man. Boxing fans like you are ruining the sport. And I know you're going to comeback with some stupid ***** comment but whatever. You do what you need. I'm not going to get into this back and forth stuff with you like everyone else. He is the WWE version of boxing.

He is the hyped up super star who is put in the ring with people who will make him look good to keep the smoke and mirrors up.

I watch boxing for Miguel Cotto, Paul Williams, Sergio Martinez, Manny Pacquiao, Wladimir Klitschko, Juanma, Marquez......

I don't need that ****ing ****** mayweather ruining the idea of a mega fight with 1 punch at a time counter punching bore fests.

-- Split - I never said what the split should be. I said that FMJ is right, given the facts of their earnings history, Pac's constant lies during negotiations, Pac's balking at an offer he later "accepted", Pac's crap fight, and the fact that he already has a backup just like the last negotiations.

-- Drug Testing - FMJ's request is reasonable. If it wasn't Pac would have never come back and agreed to it. Pac has shown you that his previous position was BS. Mosley further weakened Pac's postition by testing and the cut offs being greater than the ones Pac ran from. Your boy Pac did you in on this one.

-- Ratings - Once you actually watch and participate in boxing you will understand it. Robinson was good. That is a subjective comparison. The sport has evolved. Ali was a million times more charismatic, but he did things that any sane boxing coach would smack you in the head for. Old boxers are overrated. Ask Ali idiot.

Then talk about them in threads. If you don't want to watch one of the best boxers in the world then don't. But all of your Mayweather bashing makes you look like more of a Mayweather hater than a Boxing fan. I mean, just look at your avatar.

The fight should be 50/50 because they are the only 2 that can generate this much excitement and money.

If floyd could do it without pac, ****ing go for it. But he knows he can't. It will be 50/50.

 

Exactly, that's what they don't get. It's about context. Plus this fight is on thin ice already. It's time to stop with the demands and just get the fight going. Nobody shouldn't backing up demands for either guy at this point.

I don't think floyd would have been the fighter he is today if he where to take the same fights as Cotto did after jumped up to welterweight:good

When Cotto was undeafeted, and champion. Cotto - Floyd was the fight the boxing fans wanted to see. But your boy retired:| And Cotto took on the tough fights and became damaged in doing so.

Saying all that, i believe that Cotto is the fighter in today that have the best chance in beating Floyd.

BTW, Cotto Beat Shane 3 years before Floyd did it. And Shane did not have the same ring inactivity before the Cotto fight as he did against Floyd(16 months)

Right, 50/50 though all of the numbers say that Pac is not an equal draw? :huh ******* math. I like that logic. He doesn't need Pac. Even when he fights B side fighters like Mosley he outsells Pac fighting the A side fighter Cotto! FMJ can do a million plus ALONE. Pac can't. It is proven. :deal

 

Hopkins RJJ didn't happen over 60-40 when it would have been huge.
