Everything was going well... intill PEDerson screwed him over. A victim of shitty circumstances... yes.. but these circumstances really showed his weaknesses in character and boxing. I can't hate on the man.. he got me into this amazing sport.

I don't think he is the worst personality wise really. Far from it, he just isn't good infront of cameras. David Haye, now there is an example of a real **** who treats fans like ****, Amir Khan on the other hand is supposed to have a lot of time for fans from what I have heard from everyone who has met him.

He's not a bad lad really just over confident and surrounded by a bunch of dick heads but he's certainly not as much of an arrogent ***** as most of the people on this forum who have never boxed.

Like I said, I have often watched him rooting for the other guy but I have almost come to like him due to the amount of entertaining fights he has provided.

He gets in the ring against the best despite his glass jaw and thoroughly entertains me so I couldn't care less how arrogant or naive he is.

See it ****s like this poster who make me not like Khan. Implying that people don't support him because of his race. I knew it was only a matter of time before that was brought up.

in one way you couldn't be more wrong
many good European fighters never fought the best of their era (or tried to) because they never invaded the US and got a profile here

ricky hatton knew what he had to do to get his career defining fights - leave war+en and make it happen. and he did

    khan did the same

if khan had stayed in Europe like a michaelsevski, people would be talking about him being 'avoided' because big fights never came to him...

khan put himself out there and got a foothold in the US, and like hatton, you don't see any threads saying they were avoided for this reason

they made the most of their opportunities

When did it become fact that everyone who does not like someone has to be jealous and racist? Surely the fact that everyone likes much better, more successful fighters than Khan disproves this theory?

It's just Khan fans clutching at straws, desperately trying to rationalise another reason for the hate, other than the fact their hero is an irritating, overrated tomato Khan with reasonably fast hands and a jaw about as resilient as a bag of Quavers.

Probably about as loved as Ricky Hatton was by the

    community.

Honest to God hate left wing scum, it isn't on white people to solve all of the racism in the world by behaving like door mats. Everyone has their own part to play.

    Jelous of?

If you mean Jelous of Amir Khan I suppose yeah I am a bit, but I don't really begrudge him of what he has because I box myself and I know how hard it is to get where he has.

As I said the main reason I have rooted against Khan is a dislike of his fans who have overhyped him and made un called for attacks against people who don't support him that would not be acceptable if the boot was on the other foot.

Exactly. I support several fighters who are more successful than Khan. Usually the ones who behave in a more humble manner.

Can I just make one more addition to this.

You do realise than on paper Carl Froch is no where near as popular or as well known as Khan is right?

I usually root against him as well.

I knew you'd get idiots claiming Khant is only hated because he's ****stani and Muslim. Nothing to do with the fact he's an utter *****, a whiny brat who makes excuses, a overhyped failure who has had victores handed to him, a cherry picked career and the sort of media attention and hype a mediocre talent such as him doesn't deserve... no, the hate must all be because of racism.

Of course they also ignore the fact many of the same people who hate Khan't like other Muslim boxers such as Prince Nazeem, Adil Anwar and Danny Williams (who is loved on the British forum).

I feel sad that Khant is a household name yet Jamie McDonnell is completely unknown.
