Why is Andre Ward's trainer racially insulting Chad Dawson? Intended or hype

Meh, Maybe the term "Uncle Tom" is still offensive to some in other places,

I had forgot all about that.
VH's comments lacked class.
I tell you,I've really thawed on Chad.Used to dislike him,and even though I'm still picking Ward,I think Chad will do well.
This should motivate him nicely.

 

What if Virgil Hunter was white, would you feel any different? Wouldyou feel it being a bit more racial then?

 

Not really, but since I work with a white guy who drops "N" all the time, and is afraid to go into a black barber shop, I may be used to it

By textbook definitions I'd say this is more racially insensitive than racist, yet still deserving of censure as well as Hunter being forced to undergo education.

 

Well I'm black and I wouldn't call it racist.....he is obviously saying that to get under Chads skin.

No black person (African - American or otherwise) wants to be accused of STILL being controlled by a white person especially now when slavery has been abolished and therefore there is no excuse for it.

I don't know either person personally so who knows if there is any merit in what Virgil was saying I highly doubt it most things are said to get a reaction and I think this is no different.

 

I commend you for showing restraint and not KTFO this non black who spews out the "N" word. But you should really encourage him to stip that word outta his vocabulary. Way to many of your forefathers have been beaten, threatened, abused, and even died trying to get that word abolished.
