He said he'd face GGG at 168 and GGG all of a sudden wanted 164. That's what there is to it.

Again appeal to the authority of trainers.. Trainers are not good judges...also I recall in a video Abel Sanchez claiming Lopez is the closest thing to modern day Duran.. So take that for what you will lmao

You really love to ignore obvious context.. Disregarding the fact Kovalev is shot to pieces and was given a two month camp.. If you genuinely think that the Kovalev Canelo fight wasn't a fixed sparring session then you need straight up sectioning

GGG is & has always been a Middleweight, just like Hagler. Do you consider Hagler a coward for not moving up ?? Ward vamoosed after the Kov debacle he didnt want what looked like future opponents LOL He could NEVER have made 168 & you know it lol

Smith was not considered No.1 at 168. He lost his previous fight against John Ryder.

If Kovalev was shot to pieces, then how did he win the rematch vs Eleider Alvarez and how did he stop Yarde?

He wasn't a Middleweight when he fought Steve Rolls. He was a Super Middleweight, it was fought at a catchweight of 164.

Does it matter? It was only 9 weeks after he sent GGG to the Hospital, as a stay busy fight before fighting the #1 MW at the time with Jacobs 4.5 months later.

So you're trying to discredit Canelo's opposition because in the span of 8 months he fought a Top 10 SMW between Golovkin and Jacobs? LMAO!! Find another sport grampa.

I watch fairly contested fights with honest officiating. Nothing wrong with my heart sunshine. I could still clean your clock even today lol

Lets compare who Canelo fought when moving up to a new weight class to another fighter who moved up in weight. Canelo fought a Champion in Fielding. A regular version of the World Title but still a World Champ none the less. Fielding was 31-years old and only had 1 loss.

When Usyk moved up to Heavyweight he fought a 38-year old Chazz Witherspoon who had 3 losses on his record. Then Usyk fought 38-year old Derek Chisora who had 9 losses. None of those were for a World Title.

But I don't see anyone complaining about how Usyk fought old / shot fighters when he moved up a weight classes. The guys Usyk fought at HW had way more losses and were much older than who Canelo fought at 168/175.
