Instead, due to his awareness of the problem, Abel made the argument that because Chepo was a former butcher and was in the meat business, he should have "known" what meats to avoid. And Canelo admitted himself that he shoud have been more careful. Unlike Sanchez, most people in the boxing world, most fans, did not take this stance, instead of criticizing him for not being more careful to avoid certain meats, accused him of being a drug cheat. The irony of all this is that GGG, Sanchez's fighter, called Canelo a cheat and a liar, despite his own trainer knowing that it was likely due to meat contamination.

I can tell you're struggling with the concept of meat contamination. There's a widespread meat contamination problem in Mexico. There was no attempt on his part to use a banned substance. Canelo ordered a steak at a restaurant that unknowingly to him had traces of clenbuterol in it.
I mean, you can argue that he did cheat. But, the tainted meat argument is actually solid. If you did 20 minutes worth of research on Google, you would see that it´s a valid excuse.

He wasn't even in training camp yet when he tested positive, we know this because he was seen at the baseball game and out at the restaurant with Bill Clinton. If he was planning on intentionally using clenbuterol to cut weight during his camp, why would he be taking it before training camp started?
