Yep, and now he's filling his trunks with gas because he knows his ass can't cash that check. His pusillanimous, non-committal behavior in the wake of Queensberry's bid comes as no surprise. Anyone with a shred of discernment saw through Whyte's phony act a long ways back.
I hope the next crop of heavyweights down the line decide to fight 3-4 times a year. It would be refreshing.
He likes to play the victim The guy is a joke and refused big money to take on Aj not long ago Ducked wallin also The dude is just after a pot of gold, because he knows deep down Fury will toy with him
I ubderstand that but my point is with Fury is saying and doing are two very different things. I'm a Fury fan but I can still be objective going of his previous behaviour. I'm not saying he will pull out of this fight. but I'm not going to jump to the conclusion that it's all Whytes fault as many on here have already done without anything to base it on.
You dont think a lot of this is because fury has been guaranteed $30m to his $8m? Does he believe that because he sold a few ppvs to pissed up brits at prime time on sky sports on a saturday night that it equates to him getting a 45% split off the WBC , lineal & Ring magazine champion of the world who has become a huge name on a global scale? How much of the silence is due to legal proceedings and arbitration with the WBC?
I’m not that familiar with Whyte, I seen most of his big fights but don’t really understand his hype, is he really that popular in UK?
Who knows. Maybe Dean Whyte is planning to take a pin hammer to Dillian's little toe the eve of the fight. But I suspect you are correct with your assumption that it is to do with arbitration. This content is protected Interviewer: The arbitration court date is scheduled for March we know that Tyson fury wants to fight by march. No later than March, she said, right? Is there no way that the WBC could move that date up? Is there not an option to have the date sooner? So that we can actually try to get the fight made between the two of them? Javier Miller: I…in my experience legally I don’t think that’s possible. Once there is arbitration, you know that’s like, that’s law, that’s set. Um, doesn’t mean to say that things can’t be going on behind the scenes while it’s going on. That’s why Tyson Fury is maybe looking elsewhere. Um, you know, but, the rules are the rules. Once that’s set, that’s it, so…Either way we’re going to get a shot at the WBC title and that’s what makes me happy you know. That finally Dillian is going to get his shot because he worked so hard to get there. So, no one needs to panic. Nothing happens before it’s time. It is what it is.
He's an entitled brat barking loud to try and get as much money as he can because he knows he could lose. The guy has been whining about how he hasn't gotten his shot and has gone full diva mode after he finally gets a shot.
He’s a fairly well thought of regular feature on Sky/Matchroom events with a decent profile. Nowhere near the level of Fury or Joshua though.
Not sure many boxers are scared of each other. 20% split is extremely low from what I've seen of other splits in the past. I do think even though the split is low, Whyte should just take the fight, if he thinks he can win then he's in the driving seat.
Whyte is probably waiting for the arbitrage. It's still going, so this is maybe the main reason he is silent.
Whye is obviously pissed the way he been unfairly treated and victimised by the WBC for years. However apparently if he wins the the arbitration he gets an additional 9m on his purse.
