I'm aware of how long he's campaigned at 147, and was semi-sarcastic about Ortiz not being top five as he happens to be #6 (kind of went over your head, it seems) - but in all honesty you CAN argue that he's behind those other five guys as a win over Berto means less than each and every one of their respective single best wins at welter. :deal (except JMM who'd never been a welterweight but is a million times better than Ortiz pound for pound)

Unbeaten Hatton at 147 with one previous fight's experience at the weight is better than Ortiz with one previous fight's experience at the weight (with the gift win over Collazo on the same level or even actually better than a tough, off-the-canvas win against Berto).

Mosley before he'd completely packed it in and given up all his fighting spirit (as evident in his next two bouts) is a better welterweight win.

Judah at that time was a better win.

Baldomir and JMM are questionable, but Ortiz is no higher than top 4 among Mayweather's welterweight wins. Given Baldomir's recent accomplishments and JMM's pound for pound superiority to Ortiz, you could realistically even call him, yes #6 of 6.

I was a semi-Cotto fan before the Margarito and Clottey fights. He just didnt look like the fighter people were making him out to be against 2 flawed guys.

Yep he overachieved. But he wasnt a threat to Floyd and Bobby A knew it.

yeah that was a change...considering half his recent opponents all had 1 foot in the grave mosley, jmm, dlh, baldomir...all mid 30s and UP...

Man, come on the same flawed guy Mayweather went on a 2 YEAR holiday from.

Plain and simple Floyd ducked Margarito the man you say is flawed. I actually believe he is , but this is still a man who would walk through those punches last night.

Floyd ducked Margarito? Then why didnt he duck Mosley who blew Margarito out the water like his fists were torpedoes? You dont run from the neighborhood bully then fight the guy who pimp slapped the bully.

actually i refuse to count JMM as a welterweight win...thus keeping Ortiz in top 5...but i got your point... all im saying at the end of the day...floyd has 6 welterweight fights in 6 years and he is a pound for pound #1 guy almost the entire time...and 3 of the welters had 2 fights of total welter experience..i fail to see a great fighter proving hes great by fighting guys who had no chance..and the odds proved that

    Is than honestly your logic?

Floyd clearly ducked or manouvered around Cotto, Williams , Margarito.

Styles make fights and a big strong Marg in 07 would have been a nightmare for Floyd . This why he fought Hatton then went and got a sun tan until Cotto , Williams and Marg were done.

He is waiting for this to happen to Manny and Martinez.

    FFS, no he didn't.

Some fans wanted it, but too ****ing bad.

Fans have no say...and rightly so.

Some fans want to see a Klitschko-Lewis rematch, now, FFS.

Pac's looping left lead will have about the same effect (or lack of one) as Ortiz's straight left lead.

Clear as day :good What sucks for Floyd is that Pacquiao will be out to look a lot better than he did against Mosley in his next fight. In other words spectacular. Yeah I see another retirement coming soon.

 @ Marquez and DLH having one foot in the grave.

Marquez KO'd Casamayor, KO'd Juan Diaz, lost to Floyd, then busted up Diaz again, KO'd Katsidis and then KO'd another fighter. In his last 6 fights he has 4 KO wins, 1 wide UD win and the loss to Mayweather.

DLH was a HEAVY favourite in the Pac fight, and everyone reacted to Pac's big win as one of the biggest upsets of the last years and an excellent victory for Pac (it was). The DLH that fought PBF was much less shot than the DLH that fought Pac.

Man I dont even know where you get your points of view from.

Fans have no say...and rightly so.

Its the fans that are fooking paying the bills you dip **** , no good fights , no boxing.

I respect everybody on here , but I am just amazed how onesided your view actually is.
