His resume is solid, despite having only one fringe top tier and no elite level fights under his ledger.

The amount of discussion he gets over those who have done much more is not warranted, however.

If GGG does not fight Martinez he should just move up to 168 hes going to be 32 and still need more of a signature name on his resume Sturm does not want to fight him and will not leave Germany, Quillin =Goldenboy, Chavez Jr is interesting though and Martinez seems to be fighting Cotto atleast at 168 you got Froch, Ward, DeGale, Dirrell Bros, Bika, Kessler, Abraham, Groves etc to fight hell would love to see Golovkin vs Abraham

It sucks ass for what people claim him to be. He's got the resume of a 25 yo upcoming contender at best. And he's 32, so Golovkin is probably not gonna improve any more. Unless he gets some A-level scalps soon, I don't see it happening ever. At MW, there's hardly anyone of note around though. At 154, Lara and Mayweather decision him, at 168 he stands no chance against Ward but might do well against some others so that's where he might be headed.

i've only seen him discussed around here in threads started for no other reason than to attack him. and take away a punch from sergio onto williams and his 'resume' is hardly different than any other middleweight. he beat down rosado and macklin severely whereas the other champions had difficulty with those two. case closed.

Mackling and Rosado are B minus and C class respectively. Give it up dude.

At this point, there is probably not even A class opposition available at MW (Martinez has gotten old).

i never said they are A class. the entire division is B or worse and all the B's are too scared to fight him without a huge payday. he just got to america a year ago and you want him to fight Ward at 168 NOW. it's silly. he and Ward can make a huge fight later, and they both know it so how 'bout getting off triple G's ass about it.

Very true. The MW division is all B-level for the most part, except for GGG, and the jury is out on post-surgery Sergio, but I don't look for a miracle there--he's on his way out. GGG is going to have to move up or down for huge money, but he's building his monetary backing in the meantime before making the move. Plus, I don't doubt that he'd like to fight Sergio before leaving MW to be crowned top MW.

GGG has solid resume. Better than Martinez did at the respective point in his career.

If it was just about resumes, other fighters wouldn't be so reluctant to fight GGG. Instead of looking at the names, the ones with something to lose look at what happened to those names. Pain and embarrassment in front of a world wide audience are real things that other fighters do not want to have happen to them.
You aren't getting in the ring with a print out from boxrec. You're getting in the ring with the fighter.
The real question is why can't you simple *******s understand that.

Oh yeah? Kimbo got to hold a belt, got rated #1 contender, had the top 10 terrified? Had the champ's promoter says this?
