I think this is right. Most decent Americans I know rate Ricky very highly, it is just the extrememly vocal Mayweather fans who seem to hate him and you will notice how imbecilic these people are when you have been on here for a few hours.

I mean, Strandl or whatever he's called has a hard on for Mayweather because he is rich!! Seriously, you should hear the **** he and some other fans say about him being rich and flashing money, everything is about money to him and some others, its pathetic.

You must see that many of these people are really, really stupid and I am not saying that just to be derogatory, I honestly believe that they have either a very low IQ with learning disabilities or they are part of the anti-knowledge brigade who beat up anyone who sears glasses or may have once read a book.

ok im from ireland and i care about watching my fighters,just as i enjoy watching great american fighters and british.but please dont be so ignorant to say that the americans care about nothing outside of their own borders,how many british boxing fans really watch the heavyweight division like they did during the tyson or lewis era,how many british boxing fans really care about the featherweight divisions now.the simple fact is that wen its out of view we tend to forget about it.im sure in russia they watch a klitscho fight with national interst.its not the casual boxing fans fault,its really the tv networks for not promoting these fights.at the end of the day how many of us want to watch fights with 2 guys living 1000s of miles from us with really little connection to us emotionally bar our love for boxing.

The difference is I don't think the heavyweight division is much weaker than a number of others, yet we are constantly told how **** it is. If there was a genuine American contender you could bet your life people wouldn't be ridiculing it. There is a difference between not being as interested, that's natural, and bad mouthing it because you can't compete with the Eastern Eurpean boys
