Yea but don't you think Maidana has something to do with Ortiz fighting Maidana fight? Cayo is a boxer not a brawler but with Maidana keep coming after Cayo, he didn't have a choice but to fight Maidana in a brawl in which Maidana won.

Ortiz pounded for ten rounds on a shot version of a lightweight that was twice stopped by Robbie Peden and couldn't put him down legitimately. I'm sure he hits hard enough, but lets not give Maidana too much credit for being down three times in two rounds.

Aside from that, Maidana has been down to an unknown without a KO record.

So who exactly has he fought that shows this 'great chin'?

Mosley was something like 38-0, 34KO's going into the Forest bout. The guy had real punching power
    edit: correction 35 KO's

Some like getting dropped early and Ortiz was trying to impress his Mexican fanbase by going to war instead of boxing smart which he was doing so effortlessly that early knockdown was the worst thing that could have happened to Ortiz in that fight.

Even with Khan's suspect chin, I think the risk with Maidana is minimal
He's a one punch wonder, and he doesn't set up the big shots particularly well
Khan's too quick for him in all aspects, he'd land a few shots and be out of there before Maidana had time to set himself.

You bringing up a fight that happen 5 years ago. I mean hey lets bring up Pac early lost of his career. Lets bring up Margarito early lost or his lost to Santos. I mean **** you bringing up losses that happen 5 years ago or more. Sure Campbell got ko by Peden. If Campbell chin as you trying to say is that bad then don't you think his other 4 losses not name Peden would be by tko or ko correct? :rofl

Pacquiao is slightly better now than when he was ko'd in his teens don't you think? Whereas Campbell showed signs of being distinctly over the hill. Yet Maidana got put down three times by less than solid shots.

The question still remains on which fights you are basing your assessment of Maidana's 'great chin' apart from 'only' being down three times against Ortiz. And you still haven't answered it.

Ok lets get this straight , your the one who compared " Maidana to Mosley " , your the one who labelled Mosley " a puncher " and im the clown  :huh

Like ive said to you Mosley defines the term boxer / puncher , in that he has excellent boxing fundamentals and skills and he also has big KO power , and looks to mix these two up as one ............. he has come up short against some elite boxer's (Mayweather , Forrest & Winky) , but is good enough to hang with other genuine world class fighters (Oscar , Cotto & Vargas) , he also has superior skill and the required durability to completley outclass limited pressure fighters (Mayorga & Margarito) . Further backing up that he's neither a boxer nor a puncher but a combination of the two .

Examples of punchers : Katsidis , Maidana , Prescott , Cintron

Examples of boxers : Martinez , Williams , Mayweather , Hopkins

In summary i think your comparison was a shocker and you just jumped on me for pointing out to you that " **** bro you didnt just compare Mosley with Maidana did you " without thinking about what you were saying :deal

I've had the pleasure of watching Maidana fight enough times to appreciate he suffers from a variety of technical flaws. Nonetheless, he possesses the the attribute that presents the greatest problem to Amir Khan-- punching power. Additionally, Maidana will not be intimidated by Khan in the least. Can the same be said in reverse? I am not sure.

At any rate, I consider Maidana's chances of defeating Khan to be significantly higher than his chances of defeating either Bradley or Alexander. In fact, I think that the aforementioned beat him relatively easily. Why? Well, both are physically gifted-- on par with Khan-- yet both appear far more likely to absorb a little leather and carry forth. Khan, regrettably, will always have mandible questions until he shows that he can take a few bombs from a thumper without ending up horizontal.

    1. I compared the matchup of Mayweather and Mosley to Khan and Maidana as far as why there is a lot of interest in that fight.

    2. You edited your post to include "boxer/puncher" after I clowned you to try to save face. ***** move.

    3. I've been boxing and following the sport since before you were born. Spare me your bull****.
