This will be interesting to see. They def target a strange audience but that audience pays for their strange events. Atleast it seems that way so far. Its gonna be PBC, matchroom/dazn, and triller as the big boys while top rank, goldenboy and everyone else slowly die away if they can pull this off right

The Lopez fight is just about making a statement and grabbing headlines. It puts other networks and promotors on notice and "we can take your fighters, pay them double what you're offering and give them lucrative terms. What can YOU do???"

This is how PBC and DAZN broke into the market first too....

DLH will fight someone? He is very good boxer and had impressive career, should still have some fanbase.
He really was watchable and racked 10-0 record in title fight and 31-0-0 record till first his lost pro fight. Already was well known after some first his 20 pro fights.

He had retired from fighting in 2008 th, If I'm correct. Comeback fight?

He was back in the day, when he first started Golden Boy; that was the whole point, for him and his buddies/partners (two former rivals) Shane, Bernard and Marco to get out from under guys like Arum's thumbs and promote themselves. And so they did, for several years (although Mosley and Barrera eventually left, as both fighters and business stakeholders; Hopkins is still today involved but not the key figure and mouthpiece he used to be).

I think he realizes this is a circus and doesn't want GBP's name tainted with his self-indulgent nonsense. :sisi1
