I think everyone agrees that Floyd fighting Cotto is long overdue...but he won't fight him, although it is the most logical at this point. Floyd has no "grapefruits"!!

This doesn't make sense...why would Hatton agree to 147 but decline at 140, his natural weight? He never fought the best at 140...at the time Hatton and Cotto!! You're absolutely correct when you say there will always be a fighter for May to fight, just not the best fighter!!

Long overdue? Cotto has held a title there barely a year. He has been at WW barely a year.

I notice you are on PBF for not fighting the best at any weight class. Cotto has never won a title from a champion, and hasn't fought the top fighter in any weight class either. The only highly ranked fighter he fought at 147 was Mosley, who is older than the "old" De La Hoya you are angry with PBF about. So are conciously applying the double standard? Or what?

Are you denying that Hatton turned him down 2 seperate times at 140? If so, I will be happy to find the article for you. I rarely make assertions I don't have the ability to back up. It happens, but this isn't one of those times. Hatotn declined the fight saying he wasn't ready and wanted to fight 3 times in the states.

Cotto BTW, at 140, Arum said he was not ready for PBF. So you can let that one go as well. Arum wanted PBF to fight Margarito, not Cotto.

He should have fought Cotto at Jr Welter...Cotto has fought much tougher opposition over the past three years...Abdulaev, Torres, Judah, Quintana, Mosley, Malignaggi...very impressive!!

Is that your best? He simply stepped across 140 without cleaning out the weight class. I'm not the flake...you're the Floyd nuthugger!!

I just explained to you that Arum turned down that fight at JWW. Not my fault if you blame Mayweather for that.

And that is not "much better" than what PBF fought over the past 3 years. Torres and Malignaggi are belt holders at 140....PBF just beat the CHAMPION there, and you are upset about it. (And those 2 held no belts when they fought Cotto, Torres was a nobody). Abdulaev has beaten nobody, and lost his very next fight. And if DLH is old, then Mosley is as well. You are applying a double standard, giving Cotto a break when by actual results of fights, those guys are no better than the fighters Mayweather just fought.

So you just don't like Mayweather. You are tossing out as many arguments as you can hoping one works. Fair enough....just don't try to pretend you are making a concise argument.
