Holyfield’s quote was if they met earlier it would have been one hell of a fight.

It’s not Evander’s fault that Tyson pulled out with an injury or that Tyson got himself thrown in prison for ****. That’s on Tyson.

This is the fact: they did fight, twice, and Tyson was heavily favored and all the talk was how Evander was the one on his last legs. And Holyfield beat him twice.

    Winners adjust. Losers make excuses.

Let's reverse it and place Holyfield in prison for 4 years. Doubtful he beats Seldon. We can even take Mathis, who, like Vaughn Bean plays spoiler and probably beats him.

    YIKES

Holyfield doesn't sniff another title. Like I said: Lucky to have fought Tyson when he did. He knows it. I know it. Deep down you even know it.

    Painstakingly.

Holyfield didn’t do anything to get himself thrown into prison, so that’s kind of a stupid point.

But Evander fought on effectively at a higher level much longer than Tyson did.

I guess Tyson was invincible. Tell Buster Douglas that … the Buster Douglas who got KO’d by Holyfield, lol.

I’ll give you credit: I’ve never seen anyone til now prop up Tyson by claiming the Seldon win as being special. The kindest interpretation is that Bruce got spooked and fainted out of fear without being hit, while many think he flat-out threw the fight.

Holyfield wishes he could do what Tyson did in the 80's.

Holyfield cleaned out a division, unified the titles, became the lineal champion … got bored and moved up in weight and became the No. 1 contender at heavyweight in the 1980s.

Then, in 1990, he won the lineal heavyweight title. The one that Tyson lost to Buster, haha.

I’m sure Evander doesn’t wish he got himself imprisoned for ****.

And I’m sure Tyson wishes he could have beaten Holyfield when they fought.

Couldn't clean out Heavyweight though, could he. Shame. Something Tyson did so easily that the era was full of nobody bums. Until Holyfield came in and saved it.

Wait, let me gloss over my last reply to you and improve it with this barnburner: Evan Fields couldn't save the division if he was neck deep in steroids and changed out of a phone booth!!

Tyson didn’t clean it out. There was a guy named Buster who mopped up Tyson, then Evander swept him out of the way.

My bad...Tyson steamrolled the division. Something Holyfield wishes he could have done. Still. To this day. Holyfield is ashamed he could never make the money nor claim the fame that Tyson engulfs.

Evan Fields needs Mike's help to make money to cover his child support. And Mike, being the gentle scholarly soul that he is, supports Holy to pay child support. With Mike's money.

It's called Chasing Tyson, not Chasing Holyfield. And for reasons...

Holyfield certainly does hold the distinction for being the Lance Armstrong of the boxing community. Best part, he really deserves it. Mad respect for him since he started moving up in weight class. Nobody could do what he did without steroids! The man deserves a medal: the use everything possible to cheat and win medal.

No one. Hence, it doesn't float.

And that has to do in what way with that the guys I mentioned had problems with discipline and dedication?

Evander Holyfield is a dirty fighter? No way, never once!

You called it. It's his alternative personality that's dirty, Evan Fields, and this song is his theme song.

    :coleman:

I remember when this song came out. Didn't equate it with Evan Fields at the time but now I can definitely see this as his theme music!
