For those saying the klits are boring outside the ring, watch a price interview, he's hardly enthralling himself. He's a lot more exciting in the ring though as he actually goes for the KO, mainly because his opponents aren't on his level. When he gets his chin checked i think we'll see his style change to jab and grab quite quickly, he has the tools to do it.
Agree with this .... and as for Price being boring outside of the ring,**** yeah, can't stand watching him being interviewed,no character whatsoever.
In Prices first 15 fights, hes fought legitimate journey man fighters. The likes of Sexton, Harrison, McDermott, even Dallas and Butler aere better than anything Wlad fought in his first 15 fights
To be fair Wlad was 21 when he turned pro. Wlad was 23 by the time he beat the living crap out of 3-time title challenger Schulz, an opponent possibly comparable to Tony Thompson in terms of skill and shotness. Price is 29 now which gives you an idea of how differently the two have been brought along from their respective amateur careers.
Price is still fighting handpicked bums. He is about to fight a shot 41 year old. Lets see what happens when he finally steps up. It will be Shattered Glass.
Price needs to step up and start taking on dangerous challengers like Tony Thompson, Manuel Charrr or Jean Mark Mormeck.
It's remarkable that someone as average as Tony Thompson ever got a world title shot. He'd have been fit to be thrown in with a novice Tyson in the 80s, and that's about it. Some fighters are incredibly lucky to be around in this era. I think he's a good match for Price at this stage, but Price is a prospect.
Why do you name Charr with Mormeck (no Heavyweight) and Thompson (old an shot). Is this a joke or what? If Price would fight Charr he would lose... dont think that Price can impress Charr. This man has a granit Chin.
Price would knock Charr spark out,Vitali had him on his arse with a wild arm punch,Price would have him asleep if he landed flush.
Yeah, Charr would get knocked out quickly. I don't think anyone in the world can take Price's power, so elusiveness is key for any potential opponent, and Charr is not elusive.
LOL! Do you really think Charr was hurt there? He was just out of balance when Vitali hit him on the back of his head! Go look at it again. Price has to stop fighting these old Boxers... what can Price prove in beating Thompson? Nothing! Thompson is just an old leftover from Wladimir! Charr vs. Price would be more interesting than Price vs Thompson is!
How can you be so sure? What did Price prove till now? Nobody can take his power? Really? Beating old guys and Heavyweights on British level is no good prove for outstanding power for me! If he really steps it up (Thompson is no step up!) and then keeps knocking out people like he did I would say something different....
