Undefeated in 19 fights, and scored victories over former world champions Steve Forbes, Vivian Harris and Josesito Lopez has switch to TR over TMT promotions.

“Top Rank offered me a better deal,” Vargas told and I'm happy in the position I am in".

There are speculations that Vargas is being lined up as a future challenger for Manny Pacquiao and admits that a fight against Pac is one of his future plans.

Do you think he made the right choice with no regrets after switching?
What's his chance of knocking out PAC if ever they meet each other?

I don't think FLoyd was doing much for him at the time.. but staying with Floyd could have been the smarter move.. FLoyd has money.... and Vargas ain't gonna fight Pac.. come on now.. Pac's last opponents are Mayweather, JMM, and/ or Bradley... at least with Mayweather or GBP he could get Ortiz, BEeto, Khan, and many others.... and Mayweather would pay special attention to him compared to the attention Bob will not give him

Because he is a nobody who is trying to do what he feels is best for his career.

Maybe deep down he knows he dosnt have a huge future and can see more money in the short term being a feeder fighter for TopRank

lol Vargas killed his career. Bob Arum promised him a title shot and fights on big cards. Vargas at one point thought he might get the baily fight on the PPV card. But now Vargas is fighting on FNF on a thursday Vargas dont even know the guys name

Floyd was giving Vargas $100,000 a fight he is not going to make anywhere near that on FNF.

If he gets a Pac payday, he definitely made the right choice. He'll be overmatched but he needs to monetize his career while he can.

TMT didn't exist back then. he was under the phony Mayweather Promotions. Vargas needed a real promotional company. TMT is on the right path and actually taking promoting seriously now. he may regret not sticking around for TMT to rise, especially dealing with Arums BS in the future.

He left Mayweather Promotions about a month before TMT was started. Fromwhat I understand he was not with Mayweather Promotions for his fight with Forbes, on the Mayweather/Cotto under card.
