While it's true he had had most of his significant wins in his 40's it clearly is a negative. Hopkins is not in his prime and hasn't been close to being prime for years. The fact he is still even competing let alone competing at such a high level is simply astonishing.

Hopkins, no question rates lower then Joe, he lost to him, had to use dirty tricks not to be beat more then he was being beat, look what hopkins did fights right before this fight an fights after this, that tell me this was top notch hopkins, fighting a joe who lost alot of his power cause of brittle hands, hopkins was closer to his prime then joe was.

    Ridiculous.

Eh.... maybe you're right. Bernard will be entering his prime fighting days any year now.

Agreed. I'm not so sure Calzaghe believed in himself all that much either as a result.

    Agreed.

The guy competes despite his age, not because of it. He can only fight particular types of fights nowadays.

I love how he is now prime because it suits.

That's right. The Brits are a cowardly bunch, not to mention Drunken beyond decent reason. They will make any bum into an ATG if you let them. They can't help it. They are always drunk and lying comes easy after 10-12 pints. It's just their eyesight and logic which is affected by drink, not their lying lips. :yep

Jones in his prime was a Phenomenon. Beat Hopkins and Toney with ease. Beats Calzaghe prime for prime every time IMO.

Hopkins has the best resume, Jones has the best overall ability in his prime, and Calzaghe is a great fighter, who would pose problems for any fighter at 167. Extremely talented, although he is the perfect example of an exceptional athlete underachieving. He is miles behind Jones/Hopkins on an ATG list.

Edit: maybe my comment was unfair, so I'll remove it.

They outta have a FOGIES super 6 tourney. All thee mentioned plus some other has beens such as Holyfield, Toney, & Rahman could participate. They MAKE THEM come down to (light) weight, imagine that.
