Your comedic presence in this forum is much appreciated. While we are all entitled to our own opinions much of what you are stating lacks true substance. You are supporting the clear disregard for the sports legit route to weight class supremacy, Cotto is clearly the number one contender to PBF's kingship in the WW division yet he is persuing matches with previously conquered DLH and Hatton two men who do not campaign in the weight division where PBF is head of the class, two men who have not beaten anyone of merit in this weight class with the past year. As a fan of PBF do you really feel he is solidifying his status by not fighting Cotto? are you justifying his actions due to its financial benefits? Does it really mean that much to you that he can now afford to purchase another Mercedes for some one in his entourage? Are you really a boxing fan or a PBF apologist?

I think it's funny how Floyd fans were so critical of the very thought of Cotto fighting Mayorga. Yet, it was a De La Hoya win over that same Mayorga that essentially legitimized Mayweather-De La Hoya, and led to Floyd's "6th title in 5th weight class."

Caper, I dont know what FITZ's problem is. He just doesnt get it. Not to mention, there is just no substance to his posts.

How can he call Mosley old and washed up, but then defend DLH.

SO you think Cotto needs to prove himself more as well?

If you're going to jump into every Mayweather thread, try responding to the topic.

    FACT
Cotto has done more at WW than PBF has.
That makes him the #1 WW in my book.

You need to get off Cotto's dick because your trying to say that PBF is afraid of Cotto.

Its no secret that he is in total awe when it comes to PBF. While he has every right to express kudos to the p4p king he seems to disqualify any form of constructive criticisim geared towards his favorite pugilist. I have pointed out several of his contradictions and fickle observations yet still he continues babble. I think the kid knows his boxing but he's obviously set in his beliefs. It saddens me to hear anyone co-sign actions that ultimately destroy the integrity of the sport.......PBF's current actions are undoubtable selfish but I have come to realize he might be sweetening the wine and slowly making this fight such an attraction that he will be forced to fight Cotto and the money........well lets just say it will generate enough dough for PBF to purchase yet another blinged out article of jewlery.

PBF is afraid of none. That really should'nt be questioned, PBF totally understands what Cotto brings and he truly feels he will defeat Cotto if and when they fight. I also feel PBF will pull out an SD in a tough contraversial fight vs Cotto. Fact is they need to fight.

I've lived in Las Vegas in 2006 and 2007. I can tell you that Cotto is not a big draw there. Mayweather is a celebrity around there and has a huge following. I now live in New York and Cotto has a huge following out here. Not Mayweather. My point is that neither fighter are country wide famous. Both are local fighters. So Mayweather is right when he says that there is not a huge financial draw. De La Hoya has a following worldwide as does Hatton. It's obvious Mayweather is content with his legacy as is and is just looking for some last money fights. I agree with Emanuel Steward that the Cotto/Mayweather fight will probably never happen.
