I rewatched the Randall - Chavez fight last night. Without the point deduction in round 11 it would have been a draw which would have been pretty ugly let alone if both deductions weren't given for a Chavez win. Thankfully Richard Steele righted all that LOL
I'd say Ramirez, since Whitaker lost the fight. Whitaker didn't get to hang an official L on Chavez's record, but in all other ways, it was a win. He kept his WW title, got on the cover of SI for being robbed, was viewed widely as the winner and #1 p4p fighter after that. Only until 14 months later when RJJ dominated Toney did people start to even question if anyone was a legitimate challenger to Whitaker's P4P crown. Against Ramirez, Whitaker lost the fight, lost his undefeated record, and had to wait a year to get another title fight. As for the scorecards, I think I had it 117-112 for Whitaker over Ramirez, and 116-112 for Whitaker over Chavez.
Hahahaha he was p1ssed. Chavez hit Randall low that many times they would have been hard to count. Steele saved yet another black eye for boxing.
