castillo had never been ko'd until he fought hatton, he was over the hill, but that punch would have ko'd him in his prime. so if he can stop him he can stop malignaggi. hatton is easily as dangerous at 140 as cotto was.

Okay solid explanation. #1 Cotto was very drained at the weight. He looked like a skeleton at the weigh in and went to 147 straight after. He fought only in spurts in that fight. Hatton for mine is a stronger, better fighter at 140 than Cotto was. Plus, Cotto is more measured in his approach, which sometimes allows Malignaggi to get the shots off and get away before Cotto jumps on him.

Hatton is less measured and more reckless. He may well be all over Paulie like a rash. His footwork is good enough to get close (as it was even with Mayweather for the early rounds) and Paulie is not the defensive fighter PBF was. He will struggle if Hatton can get close to him - he is not slick in the mayweather/Toney/Hopkins way - his defence is based around his own speed and movement/running. The reckless approach can get Hatton into trouble sometimes but won't matter with Paulie who has no pop whatsoever. Paulie is a tough kid and I don't expect a blowout, but yes I think there is a chance he could be out of there in the later rounds, especially if Hatton can land the kind of bodyshot that took Castillo out

Of course, this is based around the old Hatton, we don't know yet what changes/improvements will come out of the woodwork with FM snr training him if any.

Hatton won't let him get away with it.

This fight more than any in recent memory will hinge on the first 3 rounds. The flow of fight will ultimatly be obvious very quickly.

Weirdly this is the fight i have been looking forward to most out of Calzaghe/Jones, Haye/Barrett and Hatton/Malignaggi just because i don't know what to expect and how it will go.

Also im more a fan of Hatton than i am Joe or Haye and am a bit worried for him going by the Lazcano fight so will have the extra butterflies for him pre fight

    Roll on saturday!

And just like that, the week before the fight they suddenly start! Reference the thread started in the British forum by Betty Swollocks (the biggest paranoid, obsessed cyber-stalking wierdo on the board who dedictaes his life to a one-man Ricky Hatton hate campaign) titled "Ricky "third person" Hatton talking **** again".

I think people are still in awe of the body blow against Castilo. Every opponent from now until forever is going to have their 'rib cage broken' by the hitman. Was supposed to happen to Floyd.
