    I agree.

If Khan can avoid taking any bombs he would have a chance. But Katsidis has the heart of a lion, lets not forget Casamayor is hardly a chump, is he?

Casa a great boxer, possibly on the slide but before that Kats looked awful and should have been stopped against that Thai (?) fighter. Hes good at what he does and is great to watch but for a world class operator but he has life and death fights with pretty ordinary fighters.

I think Khan Katsidis is a 50/50 fight. Katsidis' chin is almost as fragile as Khan's and Khan definitely is far more skilled. Khan could definitely stop him but he seems to take far too many punches in his fights. He's been fighting domestic level opponents and still taking flush right hands in every round. This could be a very quick fight with Khan stopping him early or getting knocked out within 2 or 3 rounds.

i agree, you just gotta look at katsidis v casamayor although he got beat, he took the fight to casamayor, and put him through the ropes at one point.

    katsidis k.o 5 or 6 :bbb

earl v katsidis was a crakker although that also finished EARLy :smoke

Katsidis will keep coming forward and throwing punches and will get on the inside where Khan can't do ****. Then it'll be lights out for Khan.

The only way Khan can win is if he uses his reach for 12 rounds and keep Katsidis on the end of his jab. I don't think he can do that.

Diaz would be a similar problem though his punches aren't as big as Katsidis'.

Yeah but he throws alot more and Khan isnt exactly carved out granite. I think Diaz is the tougher challenge.

Or he's not ready to fight the best because his defence is not good enough but when he improves he will fight better opposition.

    i'd favour khan over katsidis.

i think he'd break him down late on.

katsidis would come out strong and take it to khan.

i reckon khan would have problems early.

but katsidis will tire and get picked off the longer it goes.

    diaz beats katsidis for me.

i'd favour diaz over khan. :bbb

    no he won't.

diaz has a much tighter style.

he'll break katsidis down in style i reckon. :yep

    diaz struggled with campbell's style.

    campbell likes fighting attacking fighters.

check out campbell's fight with kid diamond.

i wasn't really surprised that diaz lost that one.

    but he'll be back. :bbb

Everyone thinks / knows Khan has a weak chin, and they will all take risks to get to it. Thats the worrying part.
Building a strong neck doesn't seem to have improved things. To be rocked and hurt by light punching 130lb fighters tells you all you need to know. It's a pity really. Remember Paul "Scrap Iron" Ryan, awesome, but couldn't take a shot.

It's exciting, but as soon as they start taking risks (70% KO opponents who are genuine lightweights) then it's only a matter of time.

Generates good viewing figures, lots want him to win, and many want him starched for his attitude.

I think if we get a couple of good Bronze, Silvers or even Gold medals in these Olympics and Frank signs them pro, then we could see Khan (get his dream) put into the lions den, as we will have new stars and Khan may become old news. :-(

I think Khan would give both fighters trouble due to his speed for one or two rounds until they start to land and then itys goodnight for Amir Khan.

Ive read alot of people say he would beat Katsidis. But on what grounds warrant that statement?

Yes Katsidis is limited but he has very good power and he is as tough as they come, and i will say again if an old, rusty, Michael Gomez who is fighting at a higher weight can give Khan all he can handle then why cant Katsidis.

Juan Diaz would have a field day with Khan.

If they fought tomorrow id take:-

    Katsidis kor 4 over Khan
Diaz ko r 6 over Khan

whoever thinks katsidis has a shot at Baby bull is either an aussie full of **** or doesnt know very much about boxing, look at how cut prone katsidis is, he brings nothing against a fighter of the Juan calibre, the only shot he has is if he headbutts him early in the fight like campbell did
i'm sure Kats does not hit as hard as a Julio diaz or a shot freitas
