I agree with the hight regard for Chambers' ability, I reallylike the guy. But Mayeather never gave up seven inches in height. Vitali is one of the most difficult guys to hit in HW history, he was never outlanded in a fight, not even by Lewis.

this is the most important aspect to this fight. chambers hand speed is almost irrelevant because he has no movement about the ring. vitali will circle him for round after round, hitting him at will, while chambers tries to respond in short range hooks. chambers needs to get close to hit him, and the only times he will be close are when his face is on the other end of vitali's right hand

Dimitrenko was circling and keeping his distance from Chambers throughout the whole fight, that didn't stop Chambers from cutting the ring.

he will not be able to do that against vitali, both klitschkos move about the ring too well. based on the dimitrenko fight chambers' strategy will be to counter punch when vitali gets in close and i see no way that will work out for him. fair enough, eddie chambers is a better opponent than the likes of kevin johnson but that means next to nothing when he fights vitali. his only offensive attribute against vitali are fast hands, and do you honestly see him winning a points decision on that alone?

What superb defence? He must hide it very well, because I have yet to see it. Chambers hast only fast hands but barely any footwork. He is just standing there and his "superb defense" consists of covering up and trying block to shots with his guard. That doesn't cut it against Vitali. 1. If you, as a significantly smaller fighter, want to land punches on Vitali you have to get inside, there is obviously no other way. How does he want to do that with his lack of movement? And the most important thing, Vitali is a master of fighting tall, keeping the distance and breaking his opponents down from the outside. 2. Vitali is a accurate, high workrate accumulation puncher. That's spells doom for a lazy guy like Chambers, how does he want to win rounds? He would need to consistently land punches but people just don't land combinations on Vitali, it's single shots at best, because then he leans and/or moves away. And since Chambers has no power and Vitali has proven a chin he cannot bother him, Vitali will just punch through Chambers guard and break him down like so many before him.

Chambers would have a shot with Vitali, Wlad will not lose to chambers but I could see him beating vitali.

LOL Did you see the fight at all? Dimitrenko wasn't circling anybody. He stood there like a statue. When Chambers came towards him Dimitrenko didn't throw a SINGLE HAND!!!!!!!! Nothing. He kept standing with the back to the ropes showing no attempt in hindering Chambers to close the distance.

You're seriously deluded if you think Dimitrenko showed any footwork WHATSOEVER.

Chambers uses the peek-a-boo defense and Chambers does everything better than Arreola, that alone means he's capable of giving Vitali a tough fight. Watch the first round of Chambers-Dimitrenko

Seriously, Chambers would be an easier fight for Vitali than Arreola because at least Arreole tried to get inside, close the distance, apply pressure the whole time. Chamber's lazy ass doesn't do that. He will just stand there with his glorious "peekaboo" defence and will be systematically taken apart.
