Why the Heck does Austin Trout think that he's so relevant??

Seriously before fighting Cotto nobody knew who the hell he was, I was only able to find 3 videos max of his career on youtube. He won the fight but it was more Cotto losing than him winning, He is just uncomfortable to the eyes man. He has no entertainment value, so why is he claiming that Canelo is ducking him and all this crazy stuff. Who the hell has he beat?? It's not like he looked impressive against Cotto or anything like that. I think that trout overrates himself too damn much. Thoughts?

 

he beat Cotto which is quite impressive, regardless of any excuses you seem to come up with to talk down his massive win.

 

Because he stands just below Floyd Mayweather in The WBAatsch, but Mayweather will probably duck him too.

Yet Canelo is sitting around making demands to fight the P4P King?

 

Cotto was supposed to win against Trout. And Canelo was supposed to fight Cotto after that.. Trout had other plans and defended his title with success but now Canelo doens't want any part of him :good

 

He also beat Rigoberto Alvarez and Delvin Rodriguez. That along with the Cotto win makes for a pretty nice resume for a guy with so few fights. Plus, he's very down to earth.

 

He has a better win than Canelo has.

 

He outboxed a future hall of famer convincingly, when he was supposed to lose, and possibly be stopped.

He is undefeated, young, with alot of upside.

Something tells me if he was promoted by someone other than GBP and not an African American this thread would not exist.

 

There's a lot of boxer's who aren't "relevant" simply because of lack of opportunities. Trout was one of them

Trout is a class act, a skilled fighter and those that knew what they were talking about picked him to whup Cotto like he did. He looked great against Cotto and vs Canelo's brother when he went into Mexico and beat gingers bro for his belt also vs the very underrated David Lopez also in Mexico he defended his title and whupped his ass, then he goes into Cotto's home arena and kicks Cotto's ass. He has a wayyyyyyyy better resume than Canelo and is way more deserving than scrubs like Angulo and Kirkland and anyone else at 154 for that matter. He's gone into hostile territory and kicked ass x3, he's a ****ing beast! One of the more skilled boxers in the game right now.
