Why the hell isnt Cotto more popular than Hatton?

    I get your point, but mexicans and cubans dont love other fighters like they do their own fighters respectively. I personally believe mexicans are gonna come out to pac's fight with cotto to see Pac, if anyone.

    Because Hatton is white and from England...bu i think the ppv for cotto v pacquiao will surpass hatton v pac because pacquiao will be going for this 7th world title.

    Well, Lets start with the huge difference of population between UK and PR. You can count the Puerto Rican in the CONUS and still not even close. Then, you have the very different economic situations between UK and PR. I am Puerto Rican and I love Cotto, but true is Hatton has an advantage. Even if he is not half the fighter Cotto is.

    Actually, Puerto Rico is overcrowded for its size. But still you can't compare.

    Puerto Rico population is 3.9 million. You might add 4 millions more in the CONUS. That is about 8 millions.
    UK population is 61 millions.
    Mexico population is 111 million. Plus, like 20 million in USA.
    Phillipines population is 97.9 millions.
    The numbers are very clear.

    UK loved Ricky Hatton a lot, thats why He is so overrated and so popular.

    Because the UK has a lot more paying fans, and a lot more fans with the disposeable income that are willing to pay for a PPV. Simple as that.

    Because Uk is a huge country. Also cause Hatton personality in which he makes jokes, he goes to bars and drinks alot while Cotto doesn't do that. Cotto is like all quiet outside of boxing in which i don't think he drinks like Hatton and Cotto is a fighter that is all business in which he doesn't makes jokes , doesn't talk trash. When fight comes he let his fist do all the talking in which you got to love that about a fighter.

    Cuz those brits are pretty damn loyal fans to hatton. I mean to come all the way from great britain to watch hatton in america, you gotta be a hardcore hatton fan.

    you dont know **** about cotto. my town is 20 mins from cotto and my cousin used to train with him. cotto owns a sport bar in caguas and when theres no fight the ****er loves to drink. hell the other time he started flirting to a chick that was thn girl of a drug dealer in caguas and the dude slapped him in the face and told him i doesnt kill u right now becuz of who u are and cotto left the bar. cotto is a ****n drinker
