It really comes down to a mixture of both. They have reigned over one of the poorer heavyweight divisions and beaten opponents in a methodical, usually totally predictable manner.

Klittards ignore the fact that Kovalev and Golovkin are around the same area the Klits are, and people on here love them. That blows a HUGE hole in their theory that people who aren't Klitschko fans are racists.

Not everyone. The people who say things like the Klitschkos would be better fighters if they were black and American are, however.

Really? It seems to me that most people on here who have a problem with the Klitschkos seem to have many of the same intrinsic issues with Kovalev and Golovkin.

    Weak era
    Poor division
Will always be in the shadow of past Americans
    Claim they lack charisma
Predicting their inevitable downfall when they fight an American
Claim they are slow, stiff, unathletic
    Call them robots
Claim they cannot deal with Slick boxers
    Claim they are on PED's
Claim they use illegal gloves and hand wraps
    Resume this, resume that
Claim all their fans are Nazis

I could go on and on.....

I think it's amazing how when Americans stop doing well in a division it's instantly labeled weak

Example calzaghe and Europeans dominate a division or ten years and it's called incredibly weak

Ward starts to do well and suddenly the division is red hot and deep dispute the fact that a guy who couldn't win a title in clazaghes era is now a champ and many guys from that era are still title contenders

Trust me with the talent coming through from Europe from 160 up and the lack of talent coming through from America from 160 up ,these 5 divisions will all be called weak

  7. I've always preferred Vitaly, like most people, because of the chin and relatedly because he doesn’t exhibit the aversion to infighting Wlad does. I’m a fan of the Ks. I think they would present problems for any fighter of any era because they are giants with great cardio and skills. But there is a lot of reductionist thinking at work in boxing today. I appreciate Freddy Roach, who teaches his fighters to do what people like to watch. I’ve seen Wlad mow down his opposition in the past, but I suppose I can’t really blame him for playing it safe if he’s allowed to get away with it. His jab dominated the fight. He hardly got hit. But its implicit that he’s afraid to have that happen, and maybe he’s right, which indicates to me that the following would find a way to KO him:

Ali, Foreman, Holmes, Norton, Lewis…that’s all I can think of now. He’d be too big for Johnson, Dempsey, Louis, Marciano, Frazier, Tyson in my opinion. Jack Johnson might have a chance. So Wlad’s kind of an ATG, but these are leaner times with a different ethic and a different art. To me there are parallels to Mayweather, who may not clinch and lean, but figures out how to win without taking risks and usually eschews the KO accordingly.

No, in fact this fact this forum is mostly pro-Klitschko.

There are more idiots on here claiming its because Wlad has the wrong colour skin than there are sensible opinions.

You just need to look at the major boxing networks and boxing media to see that GGG and Kovalev are two of the biggest names in boxing.
HBO promote GGG more than any other MW and GGG only ever fought TWO Americans in his entire pro career.

Kovalev is there at nearly every HBO card at ringside getting his ass kissed by the the whole panel.

Wlad is under appreciated because he sucks and thats the bottom line.

Because the Brittard's put every ounce of emotionally hope in David Haye toppling Wladimir Klitschko. The Brittard's were quite vocal in telling us how David is "without a doubt an ATG top 10". And once Klitschko utterly dominated him with ease they just couldn't cope with their humiliation and so have been bitter and hateful ever since. They even had to create a totally new forum to run away and hide at after being ridiculously embarrassed by how pathetically Haye fought.

Haye was "an ATG top 10" yet "the awful, worst boxer of all time" Wladimir Klitschko beat him with ease. The Brittard can not and will not cope with that. They're still emotionally attached to David Haye, David their boy Haye. I think this will last their entire lives. Remember how they almost had to commit mass suicide when Haye ran away from a fight with Vitali? A fight that might have restored a tiny bit of their self respect if Haye had of done the unthinkable, topple a Klitschko.

Let's be honest, we've all heard again and again, time after time. "Haye is at least the second best CW of all time" spouted from the common Brittard.

there probably wont be two brothers who own some of the titles between them ever again (or at least not for a good while), which demands a HoF kind of respect despite the paucity of their h2h abilities and reigns.

(spinks, though they were the first brothers to do so, were separate times ownerships, 70s and 80s, and are obviously HoF too though they also deposed the lineal champs rather than getting destroyed by them.)

Whichever way you look at it, the most impressive thing about the Ks is that the two brothers achieved something highly unlikely - members of a single family keeping global titles sometimes simultaneously. Its mindboggling, two kids from the same house in the same backyard!
