Why do you rate him above Galento?

Butterbean is OVERRATED. He was nothing more than a sideshow attraction, entertaining and successful though if viewed in the right context. I definitely think had had some underrated offensive ability during his prime, but he couldn't even deal with a meat and potatoes type of fighter who could jab and move well enough to avoid his early flurries. I concur with some of the early posts though, Prime Bean is a stylistic NIGHTMARE for Price who has no jab to speak of and is stiff, slow and robotic. Bean has at least a 40% chance of laying him out with one of those Overhand right bombs.

Before Tyson was completely washed up, i thought a 3-5 rounder w/ the bean would've been entertaining.

Faster/solid chin better jab more powerful punches. Galento would not be a bigger threat at 5'9 230.He just wouldnt. Galento didnt even take his training seriously and drank beer and ate donutes,at least Bean mastered his craft to the best of his limit.

If Butter Bean connected with those tiny azz gloves from the 40's it would hurt..ALOT. Go watch his MMA fight with James the Colossus Thompson who was relevant at the time to get an idea.
