why was Dubois effective against AJ but not Usyk

Agreed, Usyk is not a hard puncher by any means but it seemed anything he hit Dubois with shook him up , I thought Dubois looked awful and that surprised me

 

What in the world? Is this a serious question?

 

Afaik dubois made ~5 millions for a win against joshua but got 90 millions to face and loose against usyk .

 

Dubois threw a massive right that landed on AJ'S chin and it was lights out.

Levels.

AJ's a muscle bound stiff fighter, whereas Usyk is a GOAT tier technician.

He definitely underestimated him. AJ fought like an absolute dummy and was still almost able to get Triple Knee out of there even after getting beaten pillar to post. Dubois just doesn't have any heart or much of a chin.

 

The difference from the opening bell was the jab, Dubois uses it to land all his offense, its the beginning and the end for him. He found his range very quick against Joshua and took Joshua by surprise opening him up for the right hand that was the beginning of the end.

Usyk is supremely skilled and well prepared and knew how to take Dubois' jab from the beginning leaving Dubois out of options.

If Dubois can't find a home for his jab then he is out of options. Usyk took it away, Joshua was surprised by it.

 

Because Joshua is an average fighter...

 

Joshua is a basic fighter. Usyk is a very skillful boxer. I'm more surprised Usyk did not knock Joshua out in two fights. Joshua never had much stamina but went 12 rounds with Usyk twice.

 

Usyk presents that real taxing combo of distance-control and pressure. He never drifts away for a break or to reset. He's always there, asking questions, making you work, and, as we saw again, can crack a bit.

 

Because AJ is a plodding bodybuilding bum with weak mental fortitude. He was beaten by Dubious before the fight even begun.

Anyone who can punch has a good chance to beat AJ and if you can box a little you will make him look like the basic bum that he is. AJ is the most overrated champion since Charles Martin or Bumane Stiverne. A pudding. Manufactured.

Just an observation...but Dubois looked a bit softer, almost approaching love handles in his rematch with Usyk. If you compare his physique when he faced AJ, he seems like he didn't train as seriously this time around.

 

What I find more interesting it that AJ was able to go 12 with Usyk twice and managed to pinch a few rounds but Dubois completely got his ass kicked and KO'd by Usyk twice.
