I get the feeling that Greb was like a turbo charged adamantine Calzaghe. I am certain that i would not be a fan of his style but would respect him due to him getting the job done.

Like the film of the full 1960 World Series (Pirates-Yankees), long believed lost, being found in Bing Crosby's wine cellar last year.

    No joke. Look here: http://www.nhregister.com/articles/2010/09/25/news/bb2bing092510.txt

Maybe the family of a "star" from the 1920s has a copy of a Greb fight in their cellar or attic that they're unaware of.

Anyone know how to contact the family of Lon Chaney? Rudolph Valentino? Babe Ruth? Red Grange?

not a bad idea SB, in fact thats a great idea. what a great shock i would be if there is a film someone has.

still cant help it though 60s was still long before the 20s- there is undoubtably more chance of finding a film from the 60s than the 20s, still have hop though stranger thing have happened.

True, but if the nitrate film of Greb training (which looks great) survived isn't it possible that a fight could?

    Just a thought.

It is possible for nitrate film, from the 1920s or earlier to survive to this day. unlikely but possible. Within the last year or so a 50 gallon drum of films from the turn of the century, never transferred to safety stock, was found. Also within the last two years a boxing film from the 1910s was found on nitrate and restored.

These are both good "Please God" scenarios i admit, but these creeps who claim to have it today need to be dealt with accordingly.

I'll make a serious offer now to anyone who thinks they have a film of Greb outside of the training footage and contract signing we already know exists: I'll pay $1,000 per minute of Greb film. I doubt anyone else would make that offer. I doubt anyone who thinks they have a film of Greb would A. respond to that, and B. be able to pass verification. If they can, well, they can make some good money.
