Why was Marquez a tuneup for Floyd but not manny?

    This sentiment was more echoed a few years back, but I still account it on the regular. At the least, that his rankings are nearly impossible to increase without the presence of a W over Mayweather (or a certain other individual).

    Nonetheless, regarding Mayweather being one of the two best fighters of this generation, yes, yes he is. He is also a difficult match up for Pacquiao. Hence my mention of his difficulty for Pac, but unless it provides much incentive for Pac (i.e. the above re: legacy), it is meaningless- or means that Mayweather is not as good as we thought. It has to be one of these. I aver the former. If Pacweather are the "two best fighters", it would obviously be meaningful for both fighters to partake in - not just for us fans - and which we cannot truly separate from the boxers (i.e. it simply needs to passively happen for sake of happening).
