    No... they havent.

He's the same fighter skill wise that he's always been. But he's DECLINED from the fighter he was pre-Marg.

Anybody thinking Manny Steward has changed or improved Cotto, just watch Cotto-Mosley. Same damn Cotto, only Miguel was younger, fresher, and sharper back then.

    Manny Steward is a myth!

Their emphasis has always been going back to the Cotto of old with a few tweaks as they go, not revamping his style. If Steward can make Cotto good at what he used to be good at and better in a few areas, then he can surely develop a game-plan to beat Margarito.

problem is Cotto would be younger then also. And Cotto is the better fighter of the two.

Actually he's regressed quite a bit since his two KO losses.

Pac countered the **** out of Cotto's jab. He has an excellent jab on delivery but his positioning is rather bad after it. I was surprised how many times shot wild Mayorga was able to find target and it's concerning coming into the Margarito rematch that Miguel is still wide open for uppercuts.

Well people are expecting miracles now that Cotto is with Steward...its only his 2nd fight and 1st full training camp with him so they way Cotto fights wnt change drastically...I saw subtle improvements on his balance (he doesn't throw that awful uppercut from the outside anymor aswell!) His upright defence is also a lot better and, although he still did it against Mayo, he didn't drop his hands that much and rely on his head movements to slip punches.

I think give him sometime, look closely and u will see this minor yet significant tweaks in Cotto's game

Cotto's defense has always been lackluster. Has a lot to do with the fact that he has really poor footwork.

    Every boxer gets hit.
Martinez ate more leather than Cotto Sat.
Pacquiao, Mosley all eat leather unless you're a mayweather
    Napoles or Benitez defensively.
