Why wasn't Calzaghe given more credit for his wins against RJJ and Hopkins?

and yet, despite the thread title, Calzaghe didnt fire a gun through a roof, nor go to a job interview with hopkins...but i used those analogies too.

This is what an analogy is. Plato didnt really claim that people spent their entire life in caves in ancient greece. People have understood the analogy at least since his time over 2000 years ago.

You should stop digging your hole about now.

it would appear you are too obsessed with me to notice that the person with that account pre-dates me by several years.

Having been proven entirely wrong, I wonder what your response with will now..? I guess you wrote all that without thinking about a followup once it failed.

yet both of them won titles at MW before facing Hopkins, so relevance is there.

Surely it shows also Kesslers not as strong as you think, since he was unable to get anywhere near a title at MW?

no, I am playing the "he was a struggling nobody MW" card - which is an incontestable fact.
And he was a MW for half his career, an incontestable fact.

And DLH and Tito werent exactly struggling nobodies befoe they moved up,incontestable facts.

In a debate regarding Joe 'CalzagheTheCoward' would have left anybody in the dust. There's nothing he didn't know about Joe or anybody/anything even remotely related to his career. He knew everything about him. I asked him to join here way back but he had no interest and was content with youtube. Its a shame he retired.

Plus Bhops combination of chin, defense and experiences are him incredibly hard to stop. He had to take a beating from a 25 year younger puncher and then take a fall right on his head from the ring into the concrete to finally get stopped.

Kovalev has mental problems. His power and skills are NOT in question.

Calzaghe failing to stop that version of Jones who had lost any type of coordination in his legs and punch resistance or is far more embarassing

Well you have to consider the timing. You can forget RJJ, as Jones was completely shot. As for Hopkins, good win but, you remember, Jermain Taylor beat hopkins as well, not once but twice. So hopkins was already on the downside, although still formidable. And for what it's worth ,both guys put calzaghe on his ass.

n the other hand, the full fights did show how old hopkins coped with tanks, or how jones didnt cope with getting old.
