That should have been a no-contest.

It's hard to say whether Barker was aware of Parris calling him down because he was only in his peripheral vision.... and also whether he was comitted to the shot.

Though Barker ought to have known he would be called and shouldn't punch back.

That sums up Parris as a referee. Utterly incompetent.

In fact, Jamie Moore got disqualified against Michael Jones for something very similar, apart from he wasn't floored beforehand - guess who the ref was.........

Edit: Also, it wasn't as a bad a knockdown than in this fight. Jones could have continued.

If Samuals had of done the same to Barker he'd probably been disqualified.... Smauals stoppage defeat against Groves was bull **** as well.

It was, reminded me of most of the stoppages prospects get except groves has a genuine punch on him and samuels was actually fighting back, unlike the latvian binmen.

Groves looks the best out of all of our prospects right now, fancy him to batter degale if they ever meet.

Eh? Within the space of a second Barker was down then had knocked Samuels out. Not sure how fast a ref is expected to be.

He said "stop boxing" - this means that Barker threw an illegal punch, which means the contest should have been declared as a no contest, or Barker should have been disqualified - neither happened and Barker got the win and that was Parris' decision to make, and he got it wrong.

That was never a DQ, a no contest was the right decision.

In barkers defence it looks as if samuels is continueing to box as well and simply gets caught by a punch thrown out of instinct, poor attempt by the ref to stop the action
