Who's at 140? Why would Roach want to set up shop there? Financially speaking...

I don't believe this. Before the Hatton and De la Hoya fights you would have been shouted down as an insane lunatic for even suggesting that Pacquiao should fight Cotto at any weight 140 and above and now he's ducking him?

    Unbelievable.

Yes, and like I said, I would prefer the fight at 147, because I believe that Pac can be competitive vs Cotto; but is Pac a WELTER?

Again, YES, but your not seeing the point. Pac doesn't need this fight, if his eyeing for 1 last fight it should be the winner of PBF (preferably)/JMM. Like the article said Pac is "not interested" in a Cotto fight.

For one Pac doesn't want the fight, why should he concede to Cotto's demand. There is an OBVIOUS size difference between Pac and Cotto, so why should Pac put himself at a disadvantage.

No it's not a fluke, Pac beat that ass. They were ready and had a great gameplan for DLH, weight-drained or not, they would've still (just my opinion) beat that ass. They took the fight WITHOUT, again WITHOUT knowing DLH would give up his weight advantage and were very confident going into the fight.

I didn't see that **** coming, I thought DLH would knock his ass out.

because he doesn't need to fight him. he can take a break and just wait for the winner of the jmm-floyd. and if pac fought cotto at a catchweight, i'm sure you would be bitching that cotto could not get down lower than 147.

Another reason they should gag order the Roach/Arum Tag-team.
(Who were the ones who entertained this fight in the first place)

Coz they don't want Cotto to be called 'SHOT', 'BUM', 'WEIGHT-DRAINED' afterwards...

If he fights Cotto and KO's him. Cotto's punch resistance was gone after the fight with Margarito. :S

So says the man with a picture of Marquez in his profile. Biased.

The Mayweather-Pac fight is beyond huge - why risk it with a fight with Cotto? We all know Pac would destroy Cotto he's just the kind of fighter Pac can beat. Mayweather on the other hand has the capacity to give Pac hell with his skills and counterpunching.

You're just scraping the barrel to try and find a way to put down Pac.

I would not go as far as say Pac would destroy Cotto. Cotto has as much of a chance of destroying Pac and vice versa if the two ever fought. Its a VERY dangerous fight to take before a potential fight with Mayweather that is all I have to say.

Excuse me. But why the **** should Pac have to gain weight to take on HIS CHALLENGERS.

He went up for De La Hoya. Now Pac is the man they should meet him.

Its not that PAC wont' fight Cotto. It's the fact Cotto doesn't want to make the fight on PACs terms. PAC after all has earned the right to call the shots of at what weight, where and whom he fights next. Cotto is seeking to beat "the man". So he has to decide as PAC decided to step out of his comfort zone to make the MEGA FIGHT happen. Plus much of this catch weight stuff is coming from Team PAC...not PAC himself. PAC would fight at 147 but Roach has the obligation to protect his fighter and seek terms that favor PAC. The last few fights PAC has had to move up in weights that were unfamiliar and untested and against opponents who were "seemingly" impossible to beat.

By the way....why is it again that Floyd jr hasn't faught Cotto?? After all Floyd is a WW....PAC is not.:huh
