Loma might be too mature for young Floyd at lightweight , though Floyd might be too sharp and physically gifted at SFW. That being said, I actually haven't seen Lomachenko use his Ring IQ that much. He's incredibly skilled and well-rounded, but I don't think I've seen him solve a problem with an intelligent response. Against Salido, Campbell, Linares, he just kind of did more of the same, only tried harder. With fighters like Hopkins, Marquez, Floyd, I can recall numerous fights where they set something up or shut something down during the course of a fight. I don't recall Loma making those types of adjustments. But I could be wrong, and would be happy to see examples of Loma's strategic thinking.
Loma was edging rounds and Campbell was giving him problems throughout the fight. Let me ask you something. Who do you think was a better opponent, Luke Campbell or Diego Coralles?
Better question is what it takes to be on top at 135 during Floyd's time there vs Loma's. Floyd messed up big time by not sticking around because that division was stacked. Coralles, Castillo, Freitas, Casamayor and Barrios. Versus Campbell, Linares, Crolla, Commey and Lopez.
What do you mean? Loma's whole style is about reading his opponents and adjusting to their style in the first few rounds. He always fights more passively downloading data as he's figuring out when he can engage and when he shouldn't. Maybe his style looks the same in every fight but trust me he adjusts constantly, 40-50 feints a round, setting up traps, being a shorter fighter he needs to time his engagements well, which he does flawlessly because of his boxing IQ
I know my history thank you but you obviously don’t understand the premise as to who has reigned undefeated for several decades like the Money Man.
So I guess your intending on not answering tbe question and deflecting with what if scenarios. Figured as much
Can you point to specific adjustment's he's made during fights? From what I can tell he moves and feints and side-steps in ways that make his opponents very hesitant, so he gradually opens up and starts layering his offense. It's smart, but it's not really based on anticipation or studying patterns of an opponent's offense. He imposes his own style, he doesn't necessarily adapt to an opponent's. Every fighter adjusts in real time to things they see, but what I'm saying is that I can't remember spotting dramatic specific adjustments to an opponent's best shots. I might have to rewatch fights to do that, but I'm also curious if anyone can point to them.
Who is "Diego Coralles"? I never said that Mayweather would lose to Lomachenko either. Just that you massively overestimated how much success Luke Campbell had against Lomachenko.
