Boom He would be the British Protectionay wilder 40 fights in with about 8 mill banked and a huge court battle when he eventually decides to leave that's unless one said part of the business was not folded up Match room have only ever traded under match room that I'm aware of
How many have there been this year? Why does it matter anyway? His money comes from the fans ultimately. Thanks. Yes himself as he takes a cut obviously. You don't think he is simply trying to make himself as much money as possible? Not sure who's saying otherwise or what your point is?
1 soon to be three and it does not matter but you want names and good fights Maybe they should change it from prize fighting to charitable fighting 2 credit where its due and what you putting together free of charge next time 3 you know the differance between business and charity One you get paid for your time the other you offer your time and expertize free of charge which promoter does this please name him 4 my point is you want the best you have to pay for it obviously no one wants ripping off but you can't expect everything for free And you go on about the fans sponsorships and advertising also play a part
I don't think anybody is denying that. My point was simply that he is not doing us some big favour by putting on fights. He is not helping us anymore than we are helping him. People weren't booing him because of fights he made, they were booing him because of his personality and because, as he acknowledged, they didn't want to see/hear from him. He is in front of the camera too much and people are getting a bit sick of it. Sponsorship and advertising is ultimately about the fans though.
1 beats being lied to and having to endure years of b ollocks fights then promised this and that for it never to materialise 2 its about advertising time to the masses not hard core fans so not really
Nobody is saying otherwise. Just because he may be better than someone else, that doesn't mean he is perfect and beyond criticism I never said anything about hardcore. They advertise to those who are watching. If you are watching boxing then you are probably a fan to some extent.
1 true but everyone as to be held to the same stick 2 not true you telling me all them females there last night and all over social media sites are fans so boxing as always been near the top of the tree in British sports I'm inclined to disagree its had its up and downs Boxing is a fringe sport don't try and tell me other wise
Eddie Hearn's impact on boxing in this country is under appreciated and he's undervalued but hey it's cool to not like the man so there you go...
I wouldn't have boo'd, but I just think he loves attention too much. What he's done for British boxing is amazing, he's lead the revival with smart signings and his ability to sell absolutely anything to the public. But you see a fight card and its "Eddie Hearn Presents.." or you see an iFL interview and he gets involved, even tho he does his own interviews ! Comes across as unlikable but he's great at his job and I personally have a lot of respect for him!
I thought they we're booing him because of the terrible card he put on. When you have to budget coming from 90'000 ticket buyers and you show a total of 5 fights you deserve to get booed. If you dont do it then you're not gonna do it when you sell 20'000 tickets. Huge money grab from Hearn No respect for the fans
Might just be ironic jeering. Brits are known for being very sarcastic. Pantomime jeers. Eddie Hearn's interviews on IFL get scores of thousands of views everytime.
I like Eddie Hearn, he comes across as quite a genuine guy with a sense of humour and a flair for his job. He has elevated boxing in the UK and does right by his boxers and does his best trying to provide fans with the fights there is demand for. He won't be everyones cup of tea and has made mistakes, some of the PPV cards were a real **** take but you can't blame a promoter for being greedy or ££££ motivated, after all that is the name of the game, it is prize-fighting and if people are crazy enough to pay to watch Tony Bellew headlining a PPV card….
