Whyte/Povetkin would be a cool fight IMO. Povetkin is a much better boxer but Whyte has youth and freshness on his side. It's a 50/50 fight for me that I might even favour Povetkin. He can still bang and Whyte's chin isn't granite. However, I wouldn't pay a cent to watch it.
Genuinely don't get this attitude. You think it would be a good fight - 50/50 - both top five heavyweights. Would you pay to watch it? Absolutely not.
I don't pay for non title fights between guys who will never be champion and guys who are past their best. It's a fight that should easily be made without PPV. There's great champion's out there who don't get paid half of what these would for a PPV non title fight. Can you not see that's wrong? I have principals. I don't just do what Eddie Hearn tells me to do. Every entertaining fight isn't worth 20 pounds. By your logic we could have southern area title fights for 20 quid, just because we expect them to be entertaining. Get a grip of yourself man!
You seem to have failed to grasp that boxers are often paid on their ability to entertain rather than just win. I'd rather pay for an entertaining fight than get a boring fight for nothing. Strange sense of entitlement that a lot of boxing fans seem to have. Almost as though what is already an incredibly risky sport for the individuals who take part should be delivered to them for free as they won't pay a penny for it.
No mate. You fail to grasp that Eddie Hearn has created an environment where it's okay to rip fans off to watch average fighters. He's done so using sky to brainwash uneducated souls like yourself. A sense of entitlement because I don't want to pay 20 pounds for every half decent boxing match that's made? Shut up you fool. Lots of sports are dangerous, doesn't mean we pay 20 pound every time we watch them. Nothing in life is free and I don't expect it to be. I do, however, expect good boxing content for the fees paid monthly to sky. At the moment that's not happening.

Eddie Hearn created the environment where it was OK to rip off fans to watch average fighters? OK mate. Next time I see Eddie in the boardroom/bedroom/mirror (delete as appropriate based on me working for him/sleeping with him/being him) I'll let him know that Hattonfan from the internet is really angry about him putting Audley Rogan, Khan Prescott and Brook Jennings on PPV, and because of Eddie Hearn putting those bang average fights on PPV he's created an environment where we can't possibly justify the same happening for a guy like Whyte.
I should've said "current!" environment. Yes, we were ripped off before by Warren and sky subsequently dropped PPV for a period. Eddie has resurrected it unfortunately. Hilarious how you're happy to lambaste Warren's rip off PPV's but defend Eddie's. They're two sides of the same 20 pound note chief. I think Warren's were much worse, hence Sky dropping it because his PPV shows absolutely bombed. Brook Jennings did 15k because it's a dismal fight on a dismal card which was dismally promoted and made a loss all-round. Now you have, as you described, a 50/50 fight between two of the world top five heavyweights, one of whom is typically in pretty good action fights and does around 400k on his own, and you're ranting on about PPV and Hearn again? You need to move with the times mate.
So Whyte could be on PPV Apr 20th. Remember all ya'll who claim Whyte is worth more than £5 million vs AJ must believe Whyte is a PPV fighter. The spin if this is confirmed will be epic.

If it does well financially then clearly there’s the demand whatever the naysayers say... It’s the growth in interest in the sport that makes whyte on ppv financially viable... I wouldn’t pay for it on ppv but I’m not going to complain... Would be hilarious if Whyte on ppv in April did better than Joshua vs Miller though, imagine how delusional Whyte would get then...
Absolutely this. Boxing attracting massive viewing figures attracts more sponsorship and more investment to the sport. Top fighters earning mega money attracts people into the sport in the hope of replicating them. It's all good for boxing no matter what a few crybabies say. Like it or lump it really.
