Whyte bodies Ortiz

Ortiz schools Whyte, probably knocks him out. Browne was doing F-all in that fight, it was appalling. He didn't even look like a top 100 fighter at that point.

 

I gave him plenty of credit after the match and this is nothing to do with Wilder or my feelings on Wilder..

This is about Ortiz and Whyte and I felt Ortiz ran out of steam and it may be a problem for him. He was giving Wilder a boxing lesson but that isn't hard because most people do until Wilder hits them clean.

The 8th he won because wilder was taking more of a rest, nothing to do with anything else. The 9th and 10th Wilder was getting back into the fight (bit like AJ).

If you read what I originally said I though Ortiz would win but giving factors why either could.

Again if you are going to bring everything back to me not liking Wilder (which I don't) but as I have said before it isn't anything to do with his ability to get things done (In the ring out of the ring well)..

I don't think Ortiz ran out of gas in the classic way, it was simply a mixture of that and getting hurt badly several times with those big right hands and windmills. If you rewatch the fight you can see a lot of brawling at the inside, i was really impressed by both mens chin.

Which fighter is fighting in the tenth round of a world title fight and is not ranning out of gas tbh?

Rewatch the fight Whyte vs Chisora and tell me Whyte wasn't ranning out of gas in the later round?

Especially in the HWD it's pretty normal that you won't look as fresh in the later rounds than in the first or second.

I have seen better examples of a fighter ranning out of gas in the later rounds than Ortiz. Of course he was exhausted but he was still competitive and won rounds in the mid/late section of the fight.

A fight between Whyte and Ortiz is a completly different matchup (for Ortiz). He hasn't to be that cautious cause Whyte is much slower on his feet than Wilder and also has not the same power + has the same size as Ortiz.

It is a question of time. After Ortiz catching Whyte for the first time with one of his nasty straight left hands or hooks Whyte won't recover and he will finish him. Can't see the fight past round 7/8 tbh.

 

Hearn has done a real impressive job at somehow making Whyte a killer despite his two best wins being a shot to pieces Browne and a loss to Chisora.

I think they'll go the IBF route and fight Pulev instead. If they thought they could beat Ortiz then they would have made this fight when he was with Matchroom. Either way, if Whyte fights Ortiz or Pulev and wins well then he'll get plenty of credit from me. I was going to do the same with Browne but I couldn't anticipate him looking that diabolical

 

I don't see him fighting him so we get to find out. PaddyGarcia has said it above, he'll go for Pulev with another shot at AJ as the prize.

Kind of a pity as the Ortiz fight would be interesting and I think he has a better chance against Wilder than AJ, but he'd be foolish to continue down the WBC path given past experience.

 

Probably right, and who could blame him with how the WBC have royally ****ed him over already

Wilder lost all but 2 rounds, one of these rounds he was losing till he scored that flash kd

 

Dont disagree with that but Wilder looked wobbled against Molina at one point also. That happens in boxing

 

The only person Whyte is beating is Hearn after he wakes up from the coma Ortiz puts him under.
