Good fight. If Usyk wants AJ then this is a good first fight in the decision. Usyk would KO him in my opinion, Whyte has heart but stamina is very poor and that will tell against a mobile boxer like Usyk
I don't think Whyte's a coward. I think he's greedy and in many ways stupid but he's up for fighting whoever really. I don't buy the old man Ortiz is the boogeyman schtick. He's more risk than reward yes but I've never been as high on him as a lot of people on here are. IRL I find people who rate Ortiz to be people who have bought into Wilder being the p4p hardest puncher/unstoppable force narrative after watching a few youtube highlights and interviews and boxing hipsters who liked to have an unheralded Cuban as the 'real number 1 that all these guys with casuals for fans' are ducking.
Usyks not ready for this type of opponent even he knows this. I think people this era have mastered putting reality off and creating their own. Whyte is a 6'4 250 plus pound unpredictable fighter with underrated everything, from power to skills...his one major flaw is defense but Usyk isn't a home run hitter and Bellew knockout doest change that after 7 rounds. In short Whyte is one of Joshua's most dangerous opponents bc of what is posted here and he carries a vicious left hook and body shots both hands. I believe Whyte wins here he would press Usyk for a ugly UD win,one thing Usyk does bring is survival abilty and he could stay in each round and be just elusive enough he doesn't get hit clean to much.
People are confident Usyk handles Whyte eh? I'll lay cash down on Whyte if he's a big enough underdog. That right there is a tough fight for a cruiserweight.
Whyte by KO. Ya'll crazy. Only way Usyk wins is by UD, and if he somehow can take a beating from probably a 260 Whyte for 12 rounds, he aint getting that in the UK . Usyk needs a Povetkin/Jennings/H.Fury smallish/weaker heavyweight type to work his way into the division. Whyte is too big a jump and a lump first up.
Evander Holyfield first fight at HW was a 38-13 crack cocaine addict who was all washed up. David Hayes first fight at HW was against 34-6 washed up and small HW in Monte Barret. So lets be fair to Usyk here. He should step up against that kind of level and get used to the weight prior to going in against a top HW.
I really like Dillian, I always have and will be supporting him if/when he fights Joshua again (Not saying he wins but I'll support him) but Usyk makes him look silly. Whyte is too slow and hasn't got good enough stamina to charge around the ring at anybody. The Parker fight wasn't great pace and he was blowing out his backside, Whyte would be chasing shadows and end up looking slow and clumsy.
Whyte will do to Usyk exactly what Bellew should have done. Rough him up and get him close, lean on him and work him on the inside. I think Whyte breaks him down with body shots and then stops him.
Whyte calls out people just to get attention. I heard Luis Ortiz had to double his blood pressure medication because of all the ducking dilly boy pulled this year.
Whyte doesn't have the footwork to corner Usyk or the handspeed to catch him. His left hook is dangerous but it's insanely predictable and often falls short. His fifty pound weight advantage is in reality twenty pounds muscle plus thirty pounds of useless fat. His boxing nous is a little underrated due to his being dumb as a box of rocks, but it's not nearly enough to set the types of traps that Usyk would fall for. Plus Usyk at HW would be more likely to set his feet more, knowing he can afford to, which would improve his power above what we've seen at CW. As Joyce found out, that's nothing to sneer at.
