I know. It's like the Browme fight, Dave Allen beat guy easier. Now not saying Whytes not alot better than Allen, as he is but his fights are well picked for his headline fights.

That's not the point and not what he said.

Imagine if Whyte was around when Haye first stepped up. Do you think you would be arguing the same point? No chance.

Whyte actually called out Haye minutes after Bellew chinned him the second time

    That was crazy

What would be a tough or "bad picked" fight for Dillian then? Can you name me at least 5?

Dillians point was he did not feel Usyk brought enough to the table for Whyte to fight him, and then he listed out a few reasons why in an IFL interview which we've gone over, and I personally agreed with him at the time, until I realised the PPV numbers from Usyk-Bellew when they were released... then in my hindsight I realised Whyte got it wrong on the financial appeal aspect but was still right on some of his other reasons like Uysk has zero ranking.

Literally why should whyte give a literal nobody in the HW division, a shot for his meal ticket...

Would whyte be arguing the same point for Haye? For ranking yes, for appeal no.. Haye was known... spoke english... had a british mother tongue to sell the fight locally.

The past is the past... and I personally agree Whyte doesnt owe Usyk a damn thing... Usyk already swooped in and took his WBO... which just BS... but that's boxing logic for you.

Nobody said he owes him a thing. He knew the PPV numbers and Usyk was coming up with a rep.

He then chose Rivas, who literally only hardcore boxing fans knew. If you can't see the double standards and blatant bullshitting then i don't know what to say to you.

I can't see the double standards because you are confident Whyte knew about the PPV numbers and I am confident that he did not know... so how do we prove he knew?

He defo knew about his rep given the muhammed ali trophy that he referenced at one point, and his accolades in the CW division

Like most have said here, perfectly good fight but PPV worthy? Not for me. I shall be watching via other means.

Do you really think he didnt know the numbers? he has a direct line to all involved here and as a HW was surely curious?

I distinctly remember, that I didn't know the numbers when I saw his interview on Usyk... and it got published some time later.

And I doubt he asked someone in his direct line, "yo did anyone catch the PPV number for bellew-usyk"... why would he care that fight that much

I genuinely dont believe he knew... if you can show evidence that he did know then I'd accept.

I personally dont know but you tend to find in most if not all industries ,people involved know about stuff things like this well before Joe Public
I just cant see how he didnt talk to anyone at MR and it wasn't mentioned even in passing

Well Hunter was on wrong ene of a decision against Povetkin and he improving, whilst Povetlin is on the slide. So that would have been a better fight. Plus I have no problem with Povetkin fight, my issue is it should not be a Sky ppv headliner.
