Whyte would not be doing this if he contractually was in trouble. The WBC would have said something by now if Whyte was breaking his obligations.

Whyte is the biggest snowflake I've ever seen. All those saying he's just concentrating on getting in shape are having a laugh. He'll come in on fight night fat as butter, just like all of his other fights.

This. All that was signed was a bout agreement. Frank doesn’t have to give Whyte tickets or anything beyond economy flights. Whyte doesn’t have to promote anything besides press conference, weigh in and fight.

Frank keeps saying contractually they haven’t got anything but neither has he. Based on his muttering if it will not be forgotten however if this doesn’t break even I can see him suing Whyte either way or refusing and declaring another company into liquidation

Whyte, Baby Miller, Andy Ruiz and Neil Razor Ruddock all about the same talent and one of them will be at Wembley losing to Fury.

Whyte is a complete irrelevance whether he turns up or not.

Nobody can lose money selling 94,000 highly prices tickets at Wembley Stadium the Home of Queensbury Boxing

    Not really.

Giving it a bit more thought: Given the size of Fury's reported purse against Wilder 3 in the US, Whyte would have needed a purse of around 7m against Povetkin 2 at the height of Covid to get 70/30. Which is quite ridiculous.

I understand the justification being floated about that his smaller purse warrants the WBC giving Whyte 20%. But their rules are clear that 30% is the minimum after considerations of prior purses.

The WBC ignored their own rules (again) because Whyte has been a pain in their arse since 2017, it's as simple as that really

Not quite, they are allowed to vote on modifications to a purse if one fighter is deemed more commercially viable than another. That would seem relevant in this case.

I don't remeber fans complaining on this forum when Fury didn't show for a press conference.

Now that Whyte does the same, fans on here are up in in arms and gone from boxing fans to WWE fans.

Did Tyson Fury bend you over in his caravan when growing up?

Lets get this fight over with and onto the undisputed World Heavyweight Title fight Fury versus Usyk.

That is the fight we all want to see and the quicker it happens the better.

Of course they can unless you believe ppv buys do not matter.

Is this some unwritten rule they have?

I just ask because it is very clear what the purse can be set to within the rules and regulations.
The standard being 70/30, but that can then be set to either 60/40, 45/55 or 50/50 depending on prior earnings. Which I would assume is to protect a B-side challenger, but appease an A-side challenger.

    Am I wrong on that?

Tyson Fury is the draw and there is no difference to buys if Whyte was replaced with Baby Miller or Ruiz
