If Wilder takes it, then yes. But I think he cares more about the money as his legacy and belts. Don't forget he got a nifty deal himself. I think he's quite happy shouting from the sidelines and pushing his legit or not "lineal" belt.
The deal is dependent on how he sells though. He'll be paid a decent amount but Arum isn't giving him 80m for fighting five or so Bryant Jennings'. He can bang on about his lineal claim all he likes. Nobody cares.

In theory but nobody is going to give a **** about Fury now that 2 fights are on the horizon. Anybody Fury fights will be seen as 2nd rate and rightly so.
So Wilder is offered a career high purse against Breazeale of people then gets double than that in each of his fights against AJ and chance to be unified HW champ? If Wilder doesn't take it, it's a duck pure and simple.
In my eyes Fury has already beaten Wilder, but the fight was reasonably close so if Wilder is a bum or "not legit" as you put it it doesnt much for Fury. Why does AJ need to beat Fury to be legit but Fury doesnt have to beat AJ to be? Why cant people just be happy that we have at least 3 heavyweights that are all in the mix to be crowned the best? seriously people moaned for years that the HW scene was boring when the Klits reigned supreme, then as soon as we get competition the very same people moan about them not being "legit"
Legit as in the undisputed heavyweight champion which has been stated by all three as their ultimate goal.
Going by that logic then surely if Wilder and AJ fight then either will be "legit" as they will hold all the titles? Fury is the only one without a title .......
We don't know how legit that is and im sure ESPN will be offerign god money too. Im hoping for the Joshua fight personally. Wilder can pretty much name his price now.
Yep, that fight would be for both the Undisputed (WBA/WBC/WBO/IBO/IBF) and Ring/GBP championship. As well as the TBRB "lineal" version. Completely legit according to almost every single major publication.
