If this is true, the heavyweight division is on fire.

I got Zhang by brutal KO round 5 but this could put Wilder back into the discussion if he wins. He lost to Parker but Parker did lose to Joyce, who in turn got destroyed by Zhang.

He has nothing else to lose and everything to gain

Wilder probably sees similarities with Ortiz: southpaw puncher with miles on clock but he is getting ktfo here.

Brave option for Wilder. Zhang is arguably the only threat to Usyk. He pieces up AJ and Fury in my humble opinion. His chin is the only question as I don't consider Hrgovic a big puncher. If Wilder can land a big right, it could be over. Although he was koed by Joyce, Parker still has a granite chin - that stoppage was more about Parker being tired than his chin getting cracked.

Wilder needs to work on his timing and shake the rust off. If he lands the right hand perfectly, it is over for Zhang

My god when are people going to wake up and realise how terrible wilder is and always has been unless Zhang totally forgets how to box he destroys wilder

Big Bang Zhang should be able to keep Wilder on the back foot and knock him out. Zhang hits people with the sneaky big power shots. Wilder has zero defensive skills.
They are both pretty old though. Never know what will happen. Good fight for the fans if it actually gets made.

This is a double punchers chance. Somebody will land and win.
    Nobody is going for points.

I’ll believe it when it’s signed.

If Wilder fight Zhang, he had big credit from me. That goes for both of them, as Zhang is WBO mandatory.
This is the fight that can make or break Wilder for good.
Still saying all that Zhang is going to kill him. Zhang is not stupid, and his defense is actually decent, and he move well, unlike what most think. He did have low lead hand, and often too low, so Wilder has his chances, but i think Zhang will be too good for him.
    Great fight though.

Hilarious if this happens, if both Parker and Wilder upstage AJ for a second time, taking the more difficult fights.
Anthony fans will be forced to confront some more demons, maybe even take down their AJ swimsuit calender from the bathroom wall.

A bit of a bait thread, as Wilder hasn't accepted a thing yet:

This is what his manager have said:
“We would love that. If there was an opportunity, we’d be glad to consider it. We’d love to go back there and love to be on that card if it’s possible. If that opportunity presents itself, he’ll be ready,” Finkel said to The Sun. “You can’t tell in advance, but I’d assume that Joshua would beat Ngannou, then hopefully we see the Deontay of old and he wins.

“Then of course, if those two were to happen it would still be natural for Deontay and Joshua to meet,” Finkel continued about Wilder. “Go back two fights, people were saying Daniel Dubois was a quitter. He sure didn’t quit against Jarrell Miller and redeemed himself. Three fights ago, people said things about Joshua, he looked very good in his fight with Wallin and that redeemed himself in the same way. So in a similar situation, Deontay has a good opponent in the next fight and he looks the way we know him to look, hopefully we have him right back there with Joshua.”

If Deontay Wilder does get booked to face Zhilei Zhang on the undercard of Joshua-Ngannou, Finkel thinks that may be the biggest fight of the night.

“Look, we would love Parker but that hasn’t been discussed. But in either case, if Zhang was presented, that would be a big fight,” Finkel said. “If that was on the same card as the fight with Joshua and Ngannou, I think Deontay and Zhang would rival that. It would be a phenomenal show for the public again. I think the job that they did putting on all the heavyweights together on that card was wonderful.”

We know there is an offer, as Zhang confirm it, and team Zhang has already contacted team WIlder. Zhang team also said they have sign their side of the contract.
If the fight don't happen we all know who's fault will be.

If anything is going to become official, I imagine it would be confirmed very soon.

I thought that the thread might be that he accepted his losses as legit, or that he accepted that he is an idiot.

On any event, Zhang puts his lights out and Wilder retires.
