I read the whole thing. Wilder is nowhere near being a PPV attraction. Simply fightng for a title won't change that.
A lot of people including myself have compared Wilder to Michael Grant... Grant was very overhyped, and didn't step in with any live bodies other than notorious choke artist Golota before cashing out against Lennox.. Wilder handlers don't even have the balls to put him in against even an inconsistent live body! Comparing Wilder to Grant is insulting.. Grant at least had some ability... Heck even today Grant is still much better than most of, if not all of the guys on Wilders resume! Thats how protected Wilder is!
Tbh after this fight the next opponent has to be half decent, maybe he was just trying to squeeze one more in before the end of the year but after this even Wilder knows it has to be someone who is at least coming to win
Maybe the difference is that Fury had only 15 fights fought and Povetkin had only 20 fights when they fought Firtha - two years ago. Wilder has 30 fights and has been a "Pro" for five years, and this is still the level he's fighting at.atsch There's a reason for this - and it's found in that pure china Wilder's packing in his chin.:yep
The obsession with seeing this man fail is ridiculously pathetic. If you know for a fact he's trash then stfu sit back relax and watch the fireworks. I remember when posters used to actually analyze fights and give constructive opions on who and why a fighter would win or lose. Now we scratch and paw at eachother like rambunctious kittens fighting for a space in the litter box. I must admit it is quite entertaining....carry on hoes!
To be fair Wilder could end up being really good - we just won't know untill we see him fight someone from the top 20 and then top 10.
The "obsession" at least on my part, stems from an absolute hatred of how managers, promoters, boxing "journalists" etc. intentionally hype up guys like this who have fought NO ONE - basically trying to deceive and rip off the paying boxing public. A decent journeyman like, say, Ross Purrity, could knock out the stiffs Wilder has faced. And he's still facing fourth tier "opposition" after FIVE YEARS. When this goes on, it's pretty clear that there is a reason behind this. Given that he's hit the deck against at least two of the tomato cans he's faced, and was KTFO in the amateurs by lighter fighters wearing headgear, it's pretty obvious what that reason is. So you buy into the hype if you want and pay the 60 bucks for PPV when Wilder fights for a alphabet belt and, predictably, gets knocked the f*** out in a round or two. Me, I'm gonna speak the TRUTH about this fraud.
That isn't the issue. The issue is his management trying to Con Boxing fans. For sure you can see this? I as a Boxing fan for 30 years don't like to be taken for a ride. I want to see legit fights and fighters. It is criminal what Wilder's management are doing.
All good points brother though I do believe the boxing public can choose to pay the 60 bucks if they feel the need to....ppv events aren't mandatory and I doubt the guy would be considered a profitable attraction until he proves himself on a world stage against a legitimate contender. Lets take this a step further and question the direction of your hate red....in my humble option your anger for the sleaze bags behind the scenes is being inappropriatly projected towards wilder who's basically just doing his job. Even if the man is fraud and even if his management is blaitanly exploiting him at the very least he's using his god given gifts to their fullest or until that jaw eventually shatters.
