Wilder has 30 days to activate the rematch clause.

?

Would you want a rematch?

  1. Hell no I got pounded and I lost my sea shell!

  2. I want to fight again.

I'd be surprised if he did.

In Joshuas defeat you could argue that it was one shot from rushing a finish that did it, Wilder was bounced around the ring today. He needs a rebuild - if possible.

I don't think he'll go for the rematch. Wilder took a beating tonight and he said he hurt his leg. He won't be able to recover in time to be ready for a rematch. I think he'll take a break, then take on a tune up.

Ortiz Vs AJ is not on the same lvl. It's not even on the same planet.

Fury beat wilder twice, first on points and the second with a brutal sustained beat down which sent wilder to hospital.

3rd fight has left the door.

Wilder needs to rebuild, maybe start with Ortiz 3 or Otto wallin.

Not sure where Wilder goes from here

Maybe 1-2 soft touches and then the winner of Fury/Joshua?

Wilder should cash out in the 3rd fight. He isn’t going to improve and it’s down hills from here. Take another year to build him up his confidence ? Forget the confidence he needs better boxing IQ and form.

AJ was doing well against Ruiz until he got caught. I always said he was going to win the rematch. Ruiz coming in like a fat hog made it easy for AJ.

For Wilder, I don't see how he can win. Outside of the 2 punches he landed (which came after Fury showboated), he never had a plan B. If he can't take out a inactive Fury, he won't beat a focused Fury.

He 100% shouldn't but he 100% will. In his mind he is probably thinking that he got undressed and the only way to salvage this is to savagely knock Fury out. He needs to recover, go back to the drawing board, and rebuild.

Nobody wants to see wilder look scared as anything when trying to throw a punch and get beaten up again. Fury knows how to beat him and wilder has no plan B as he is and always has been a one trick pony, admitted that himself.

Then he prob shouldn't. I don't think an immediate rematch will prove better for him.

    Bear in mind this point:

If he does manage to clip Fury on the chin with a lucky right hand, that means he gets a fourth big payday all but guaranteed (because the draw in their first meeting would mean they would be 1-1-1 and in need of a tiebreaker in the fans' eyes) - and with the A-side's/champ's lion's share of the purse again to boot.

So making the quick turnaround and deciding by late March to do this again in June would be about more than just that immediate cash grab (assuming third time's the charm and he can land big on Fury and keep him down...BIG if, but...maybe a lucrative gamble)

A busted eardrum usually take around 2 months to heal. Blood was squirting out of Wilder's ear during the fight, so we don't know how serious the injury is. He's going to experience temporary hearing loss for a while and that will be a sobering moment.

If there is a fight in the summer, he won't be able to train until months from now. I doubt he'll be ready for it.

Great, Wilder is going to be a punching bag for the third time.

Fury has left him deaf dumb and blind, its questionable if they will be even able to communicate to him about the contract within 30 days
