I'm not sure, Scott had a good record at the time and if he won he could of made the money Wilder is making now, I just don't think anyone in Wilders team would have enough money to pay Scott to lose, and if you did pay somebody to lose, wouldn't you pay for a better "dive"?!
It was all so evident, i mean, did they even try it before? The blinking, the going down without even being hit clean, falling keeping the eyes tracking Wilder, staying on the floor like "nah ref i'm good were i'm at", Deonturd not even watching if Scott was getting up or not, really childish stuff
wilder landed a pushed long left hook/ he reached for it with a long left lead foot at full stretch /the left hook that came around the side to the temple / but there was no body torque in the shot /it landed with the inside knuckle with his wrist bent back as wilder was reaching for it and not with a straight wrist or locked wrist, thus the power would not have neen anywhere near wilders full force/ the right was mostly blocked by the gloves. i do not blame wilder/ or haymon/ i do not think scott was paid/ i beleive scott is an on top fighter who lacks confidence and did not fancy it v wilder. his eyes were clear and he stayed down.
Even as a Wilder fan, I have to admit that knockout looks flimsy. I'm not quite ready to write that off as a dive, it could have just as easily been a well placed equilibrium shot, the left hook did clearly knock some sweat off Scott's head but I'm not sure it was enough to send him down for good like that. I think Wilder has proven enough since then to prove he is a contender, so it may not matter much now anyway. I guess I would lose some respect for him if I found out for sure this was true.
