Yes. Problem with that? A point to note. I’ve never started a thread about Tyson Fury. I’m merely contributing to threads about him.
I think Fury will be more switched on and fitter thus time. He went out and left his hands down and exchanged in last round and paid the price. This time he should be fitter and would keep out the way in such a situation.
I think Wilder will have 0 respect for his “power” this time and just walk right through Fury and flatten him in 5/6 rounds.
I dont think so mate as he felt a good few of Furys punchers in first fight. He wont be able to just walk Fury down anyway as Furys footworks to good and he will not be staying static for long. I think Fury wi s but Wikder has a chance to finish it anytime over 36 mins which is a long time. If I was Wilder I would be worried as a semi fight fit Fury toyed with him for 95% of their fight and Wilder literally knocked him unconscious and Fury got up and boxed his head of for the rest of the round. Wilders best chance us when Fury is exchanging with him at mid range imo. If I was Fury I would box boring, jab his head off from outside and if they end up mid range just cover up and step in and hold. Fury is only heavyweight I would fancy to beat Wilder right now as I believe he would land the bomb on the rest at some point and they would not continue.
I agree with this. Wilder is probably my favourite heavyweight...he’s definitely the most entertaining for good and bad reasons, but I think Fury can out box him and negate the right hand as he’ll be a lot sharper for the rematch. Also, when a fighter keeps missing and getting countered with a stinging shot, it’s demoralising and it makes them more reluctant to commit. Fury will not allow a fighter who’s power he really respects, to walk him down. He’ll use his jab and footwork to keep him away. That said, like you, I acknowledge that Wilder could end it with 1 punch.
Fury always gets hit. He’s really not THAT elusive. He’s brilliant don’t get me wrong but to avoid a punch for 12 rounds isn’t going to happen. Like I said in the other thread it’s the big punchers with the best chance of beating Wilder and that’s just a straight shoot out.
Arum and Finkel in agreement that this fight is going ahead in February. How do the forum promoters and managers feel about that? Remember the numerous posters who said Fury/Wilder 1 wouldn't happen. They were made look a bit silly, weren't they. We've had as many say this ain't going ahead February and numerous who said Fury wouldn't fight Wilder again. May I ask; where do you people get your information from?
The sceptic in me asks why hasn’t this been announced yet? Both have got 0 commitments now. It’s taking place in less than 3 months (allegedly), both should be in camp now. OR.... Are team Wilder waiting on the Joshua - Ruiz rematch outcome to then decide their next move?
Of course they are! Ruiz is under Haymon and if he wins then we'll have full unification fight. That's how Haymon will bill it to FOX Executives. Why would they want Fury, a guy who has no belts? And Ruiz will bring more Mexican buys than Fury anyways. Wilder-Fury I did 325 buys.
Where do you get your information from? You have said clearly that not only is the second fight signed, but so is the third. You’ve confirmed that the first rematch will be in the Vegas. But it begs the question as to why it’s not been announced. The fight is supposedly happening twelve weeks on Saturday. That leaves very, very little time for a promotional tour, full training camps and so on. I don’t see how that can even be debated can it?
I get my information from the promoters of both fighters. They've a few more details to work out before they announce it, as both teams have stated. We've had all this before. Funny how the same posters who scrutinised the inevitability of the first fight haven't learned a thing. Wishful thinking; it's a funny oul trait!
