I feel Wilder is far better than Tua was, but who would have won this since Tua had a punchers chance?

Tua would have rattled him big time. Wilder isn't exactly hard to find.

A very dangerous fight for Wilder. I don't see him shutting Tua down like Lewis did. We could see Wilder leading then a savage hook from Tua canceling out all the good work.

Wilder gets sloppy early and is taken out by a huge hook and finished early. It would be slightly more competitive than the Ruiz fight.

    Tua KO1

Why? Do you Wilder doing any better than Tua did in his career?

It took Tua 12 rounds to find Izon's chin, 11 to find a novice, chinny Maskaev, 9 to find Rahman (illegal punch). All these guys used their jab to outbox Tua and they were 6'2/6'3. Wilder is 6'7, he's quick, he can jab, and he possesses great reflexes. Tua is gonna learn that he can't load up on his left hook because Wilder can keep leaning away. Wilder will use his jab and reach to outbox Tua. Tua only wins this if he lands a hail mary i.e puncher's chance. Wilder can also put Tua's lights out. One guy can win rounds and score a knockout VS a guy who can only score a knockout but he's giving away 13" of reach. I'll go with Tua...

The stuff he does in the ring is more effective he really benefits from that height and reach, Fury would have beat Tua far more convincingly than how he outscored Wilder and Tua would never have dropped Fury at all.

The difference is that Tua faced guys like Moorer, Rahman, Lewis, Ibeabuchi, Maskaev and Ruiz amongst others. Wilder has Fury (who really beat him) and the fossil of Ortiz on his resume as respectable opponents. I'm not surprised Wilder 'looks' better.

Tua likely gets to him first. He had an underrated defense and great chin obviously. And he gets there first, my hunch is that Wilder is gone.

Tua is more durable, but Wilder has the stylistic advantage.

Thin as his resume is, Wilder has more convincing results against ranked opposition.

I also feel that a puncher like Wilder could get Tua's respect.

I am going to go against the consensus for a change, and tentatively pick Wilder!

    And Wilder?
    Only fought bums except Fury
    Szpilka 10,11 rounds?
    Molina 9
    Stiverne 12
    Duhaupass 10,11,12?
    Washington? 6,7?
    Lol Wilder the killer

Ortiz has more skill than most of the guys Tua fought. Moorer would have been destroyed by Wilder easily, he didn`t have the chin to fight a big hitter like Wilde and was in dreadful shape v Tua.

Tua was very easy to hit if Wilder can catch Fury then he easily catch Tua.
