This fight is all about Tyson Fury's recuperative powers. I happen to think they are the best heavyweight recuperative powers I've seen since Muhammad Ali. His ability to deal with Deontay Wilder's punches gives a false sense of effectiveness to Wilder's power. From what we've seen, Joyce has a great chin. It hasn't been hit by Wilder and I don't think his chin is the equal of Fury. Wilder takes Joyce out in five or six rounds.
As everyone else has said it likely wouldn't go well for Wilder, and yes him breaking his hand in this fight is quite plausible.
Joyce reminds you of the guy that was knocked down against Mansour, knocked down by Ugonoh, repeatedly knocked down and stopped against AJ? Just because they both walk forward taking shots? The effectiveness of the fighter that walks forward eating shots to wear down his opponent depends on how good his chin is. Comparing Joyce and Breaz in this regard is like comparing Broner with Mayweather in terms of skill, imo.
If anyone can hurt Joyce it's Wilder. But I suspect Joyce would be too much for him. His heavy jab and pressure would back Wilder up and we know Wilder is less dangerous on the back foot. Sure Wilder can and very likely will land a right hand bomb at some time, but I honestly feel that Joyce can either take it or even if dropped get back up. Joyce I believe has a better chin than Fury as Fury has been down multiple times but Joyce has looked invulnerable so far, so I think it's no stretch of the imagination that Joyce can handle that power or at least the way Wilder delivers it in single shots, followed up by windmills which just makes him vulnerable to be countered. But let's be real no way does Wilder ever step in the ring with Joyce.
Massive power vs iron chin. If Wilder cant knock him out, preferably fairly quickly, Joyce breaks him down and probably stops him in the later rounds.
